China's dogs & cats are boiled, stabbed, drowned, bludgeoned, strangled, poisoned, hanged, and electrocuted...experiencing unbearable pain as their legs are routinely broken while trussed up and hung in local markets for human consumption, or skinned alive and cast off like garbage, for the despicable fur trade.

Dogs [both owned and stray] are relentlessly hunted down by 'police authorized' roving mobs and savagely beaten to death by the hundreds of thousands, in the name of 'rabies' control

Steph, do you know who we can write in our government to stop this in Asian countries...I am thinking that they wouldn't want to get involved because of the economy issues, like trading products and such...if only someone here in our government would care and have the guts to say something to these governments then they would listen.....please let us know..

I think writing to at least the embassador to China...this is such a sticky situation what with all the business that we give to China. Go to Walmart pick up any item, look in the sticker (Made in China). I personally am writing to all media outlets.....shame on them (MCNBC) for continuing to do undercover work on online predators, do it, let it out there so people are aware and move on. Moving on to stories that need to be uncovered such as these. That's who I'm going after, I am also writing to Ellen Degeneres...she is a memeber of the ASPCA and was honored for her work with them. Maybe she can do a show on it and Oprah too. The thing is, this is kept undercover from the pubic and that's what needs to be done...a public outcry and outrage. I will still write to the embassy, china's prime minister, korea's etc and our politicians that fight for animal rights such as Senator Carl Levin of MI, Lieberman of CT. I think the more media attention the better in this case only because boycotting China can never (in my opinion) work, because of ALL the businesses in the US that rely on their cheap cost for making their products. If anyone has any other ideas please let us know.

A publicist contacted me through a news reporter who has been covering my daughter's work in getting a law passed to put a bitterant in antifreeze. He said he thought it was a worthy cause.And that my daughter was well-spoken and articulate for a 11 year old. He said he worked primarily in the entertainment industry on a national level, and would like to offer his services pro- bono. If your wondering where I'm going with this he mentioned booking her on Ellen right off...my daughter loves all animals. This may be an opportunity for her to bring many matters to the medias attention. Including this one.

How excellent would that be ....your daughter and you are very special people. I am drafting a letter, getting all the correct facts, etc. and will have it ready by tomorrow. I don't know if she can bring it with her, bring it to the publicist? But I really think having alot of facts, undercover video sites etc. would help. What do you think?

I think she could give it to the publicist, as part of his job will be coaching her on doing interviews. We plan to get together with him next week. I don't know the time-line on the Ellen interview, but he did say he would book her on many shows. He mentioned Ellen first because she is an animal lover. We are still a bit shocked to be offered this opportunity, but Haley is thrilled. She is a determined girl!

Linda I can't read the rest of the letter.. my eyes are blurred with tears... but I know stories like these has to be told in the hope that all of this will end.. I am begging everyone reading this please spread the word about this and help us with our campaign- distribute petitions and write letters to the Chinese & Korean Ambassadors! With our combined efforts, we can all make a difference to save these animals!

I would like people to see this link.....I almost passed out. You do not realize how horrifying this situation in China and Korea is. I don't think alot of people can fully grasp the urgency that this be stopped. How many more cats and dogs have to die such brutual deaths before we get off the couch, get a pen in our hands and let our government, embassadors to china and korea and the Asia government themselves know we mean business. You will find this link disturbing but I will tell you now it will make you MAD AS HELL !!!!!!!!!!!!! If I had the money I would be their in a second and these organization like peta, ifaw, etc, have to do more they have the power to make commericals, to ask celebrities to join and speak out against their cause...I'm writing to them also.

My father-in-law returned recently from a months stay in China. He was not only in the big city of Beging, but also many remote areas.
He said that he did'nt see any cats or dogs which struck him as odd. I ask about his food. He stayed many different places and had a assistant who spoke english but not well. He said meals were served at a round table and that everyone served themselves out of a bowl in the center. He said if one of the chinese people got a piece of fat or whatever in their mouths then they just spat it out on the table. That repulsed him. When I tell him he was likely eating dog or cat then he will really be repulsed.
He is an engineer that designs tunnels and was hired to over see some building thats being done in China. So he will be returning. I don't know how he will feel about it. When I share this story with him.

Great site, great organization. Here are 2 that I totally respect as well aldf.org and ifaw.org. Like I posted to Linda...media....media...media. The attention this story would get when it reached millions of ears would be an amazing thing. CNBC, MSNBS, Ellen Degeneres, Oprah, etc. Local news too, because once it is seen by bigger media outlets they will run with it too. The New York Times, local papers, etc.
