Thanks to everyone who contacted us about the video clip recently seen all over the Web, where a member of the United States Military can be seen apparently committing a heinous act of animal cruelty, flinging a puppy off a cliff.
We understand your outrage. Please click here to view our response. We invite and encourage you to share this link with your friends who are concerned about the upsetting incident.
Okay I will be the big person and say enough is enough. I have had it with the fighting. If you choose to keep posting non productive posts I will not respond even if it’s about me.
My opinion still has not changed in the fact that there are some that can’t read a post or understand it but enough about that.
The facts are there is a blackout and if you are in denial then keep it to yourself. Keep yourself in your delusional world and I will promise to stay out.
The facts are the military needs to give the general public the news and hopefully we will get some in the next couple weeks when we go and see for ourselves.
The fact is we all care about the puppy or we wouldn’t be in here so let’s band together and stop the fighting. This doesn’t change the way I view some posters in here but for the most part there are those that are shall we say mature in their thinking and they are the ones I will post to.
Fact is if I see a post I do not agree with I will say so and so I do not agree and state why I do not agree. If you’re too insecure with yourself and can’t take the thoughts of another person then by all means do not post at all.
Lastly do not read more into my posts then is written and I will do the same for your posts. Let’s all play nice and understand the real reason we are here and that is to get answers to and see justice done.
Good night all and yes that includes you Jess and Mandy and even you Renee.
Please see my discussion, under the Helping Animals Forum, "How Can I Make a Difference for Animals in 2008?" which may provide some useful info and encouragement.
wow, I go to work and come back, and all of a sudden this is way way way out of control. Tia, I would caution you on using your friends as an avenue to get on to the base with the intent of bringing media with you. 1) there are are parts of certain bases that are secured, and cameras are not allowed (and for good reason), and 2) if you do anything to start trouble, then your friends that got you on that base will be in A LOT of trouble, ie get kicked out of housing, lose pay, be confined, ect. Because contrary to what you believe, the military holds us to a really high standard, and does deal with us rather harshly when we mess up. And we are held responsible for whoever we sponser to a base. I am a little nervous for your friends. I for one would never let you near a base under my reponsibility after hearing your antics and attacks. I just would never trust my rank to someone like you. As far as attacking anyone in here's education, intelligence or religion: who are you to attack anyone? Your improper english and arrogance are not a good combination, and make reading your posts a little difficult. And I'm sorry if anyone is having a hard time following it, since your story does seem to keep changing at your convenience. So that could possibly be causing our confusion, dont you think? No one started attacking you, you just get offended by anything and everything anyone posts. So get over yourself. Oh, and commenting on my "sleeping with my boyfriend": no one said anything about sex, I simply stated that I have not physically seen him in a while. I don't know if you are married, and I dont see how you would be, but those of us who haven't seen our signifigant others for months at a time understand how hard it is. And maybe you should care what our troops are doing, instead of taking your freedoms for granted and grouping us all in one for three bad seeds.
To clear up any confusion, I am the one who is 22. I dont know if Tia posted that anywhere, I dont remember seeing her age.
Oh, and Tia, dont condescend on people, and then whine when they do it back. You said if the kitchen is hot dont go in? Well, take your own advice, please.
Oh, I'm sorry Mandy! That was me who said something about her being 21! I got really aggrevated with the attitude that was being dished out to you, Renee, and Jessica. I just can't believe some of things people say now a days and how pissy they get! After I said something to her she got off the topic! She's mad at me cause I just came into the group and seen some of the things she was saying and I jumped for it! It's unnessary for that kind of crap! She get's way out there for no reason at all! This is about a poor, little defenseless puppy that was killed while three idiots had a good ol'time doing it! And maybe opinions on how these three should be handled! But this stupid arguing is getting out of control! You know what I mean?! Let's just keep the nonsence out and the justice for the puppy in! Again, I'm sorry about the age comment...I thought it was her and if she wanted go up against someone, bring it on!
Hello my friends. I was not leaving because of Tia, trust me... She thinks my prayers are false, but they will help her more than she'll ever know. I'm leaving because I came on here to make friends and discuss all these wonderful acts of animal rescuing, etc. But instead, I get harassed by someone who contradicts themselves every 5 seconds. I am 22 as well, and I am here to see the amazing things people do in life. Not a negative person who just wants to pick a fight. I think she must have been picked on as a kid and now she's grown up and is getting back at the wrong people, I don't know.. It's something and she will have to deal with that by herself. I will no longer acknowledge her comments at all. So how is everyone else doing??
Pretty fortunate for this guy that he doesn't work for me. I've had to hump a ruck (military-speak for carry a backpack) that weighed 103 pounds anywhere form 4 to 21 miles in my career. In 2006 I did a half marathon with a 68-pound ruck. What's a 2 pound puppy? And if you are too GD lazy to carry it back and it's doomed to live off the land, who are you to decide whether to kill it and how?
Thank you! That was very sweet. I agree completely with those lost today, all you can do is hope for the best. I believe in everyone, and I think everyone has a little bit of good in them!! Also, I just talked to my husband in Iraq... He says for me to say HI to the ASPCA community :) and then he told me to hug my dog because he misses him ... isn't he a sweetie! hehe!
GROUP HUG! haha... I feel like I'm in 3rd grade, and I'm just waiting on the teacher to say.. "Can't we all just get along?" :) I would be absolutely thrilled if my husband wanted to adopt an animal from Iraq. I would be ECSTATIC actually!!! How incredible would that be?
That would be great! He's always telling me about the animals he sees running around when he's out on convoy's throughout Iraq. And the animals are so friendly, and just want to have someone pet them, or a little bit of extra food... My husband usually gives his MRE's to the animals because he has chow back on the base there, so why waste it? Animals need to eat too. I'm glad even just that is doing something. I know it's not me, but hey... I'm proud to say my husband is helping Iraqi animals :)
