Help! I think my Cat is very sick!

I think my cat is very sick and I would like to get her some help but I have no idea of where to go. I don't have any money and no insurance recently moved and don't know where to go or who to call.

I live in the Bronx but only recently moved here and don't know the area.

Can someone please tell me what to do? I need help fast! she won't eat and it's been days... I'm force feeding her a little at a time but she often just throws up (mostly bile, i think) right after. Please help!

Call the ASPCA for advice on where to go. You need help, immediately. A cat that hasn't eaten for days is in serious trouble and you many only have a short time to act.

I agree with Vlad, it's a serious problem if she's not eating. I suggest taking her to the vet right away, the money part can be worked out after.

Thank you Elyse. I have taken her (Snowy) to the vet and I'm afraid it is serious (as I feared.) I was told that she is in the beginning stages of (what could be) Kidney Disease. Right now she is in "Guarded" condition. I am still hopeful that she will be okay. SHe is still at the doctors office and I am waiting for his call. Thanks for your concern.

Get the book, "Your Cat," by Elizabeth Hodgkins, this would be very useful to you. It is new, so probably available in your local library. You can find vendors and choose your price to buy at: www.alibris.com

For animals with kidney disease, a key to helping them is diet. Please look into the book "Your Cat" by Elizabeth Hodgkins, it is probably at your library. The key is, no dry food, which taxes their kidneys and leads to a myriad of lifelong health problems. Beware of even "vet endorsed" diets if they are dry, that will make the problem worse. A lot of the research utilized in the veterinary community is faulty and many protocols for dealing with chronic diseases are ineffective or even backward. In this book, Dr. Hodgkins discusses her patients which have been cured of symptoms of diabetes and other diseases by simply changing the animal's diet.
