I know rules stink, but we've come up with a new system for groups, since we have so many great ones that we don't want to get lost in the shuffle.

Rule number one! This one has already been enacted and enforced, but any groups un-related to animals will be deleted immediately.

Rule number two! Any groups that have been inactive for one month or more will be removed.

If you have an old group that you'd like to save or revive, please let me know asap. Otherwise, anything with a date activity prior to July 1, will be removed by the end of the week.

Thanks all for your understanding!
Best,
ASPCA

Tina, don't feel like anyone hates you, thats just not the case. Renee and Bams have brought up some valid points. I understand it is easy to get caught up because sometimes pictures just say it better than words could ever express...there is nothing wrong with that if you keep it within reason :) I find it moving that you have such a deep passion for an organization like the Red Cross, many of us feel the same way about other organizations. Its great that you want to share that passion with us, but like Renee said this is just not the place to do that. Its nothing personal and I hope you can respect that.

Tina, I am glad we all came to a reasonable understanding :) I really feel this was just a big misunderstanding! It's definatly not a bad thing to be as dedicated as you are to a cause like the Red Cross! I am, however, glad you have refocused your group to a topic that follows what this site is all about :) As I said before I know that many of us here are as dedicated to animal rescue groups as you are to your cause. I can definatly relate to what you have said about fellow members feeling like a second family. I feel it with the volunteer group I work with (Adopt-A-Husky Inc West). We have worked side by side just this year with the Red Cross when a wild fire broke out on the hillside. They handled the humans and we assisted the shelter groups with handling the pets caught in the wake of this disaster. It was a good experiance, for a bad situation.

Take care.

Thanks for the compliment. I used to help out back in the middle '70's at our rescue squad in my hometown, for a number of years. Was trained in Red Cross, too. I also was trained in EMT in '77-'79. That was a long time ago.
We all know you mean well and just trying to get word out that Red Cross is there, when we need them. I'm sure everyone knows that. You just kinda overdid it. You need to back off on some of pictures. Not all computers react the same way and depending on your service provider. It may be a good idea to alter some of them(pictures).

I've never seen anything like it, and I've lived in a variety of places that get ice storms. And no one was hurt, for which we are incredibly thankful.

This ice storm reminds me of the ice storm we had in New England back in the 70s and we were with out power for a week. Reminded me of the movie Day after Tomorrow. I hope no dogs were hurt during this storm.
