This ad is the most ridiculous and asinine ad ever. This joker says that he is a meatarian and it is"his personal choice" and he is committed to it.This is a slap in the face for vegetarains such as myself whose vegetarianism is a immutable lifestlye and center of my life. for me it is a personal committment and I have been practicing it for over 20 years. (I am 80 years old). This joker shoud be made to watch the video and or visit a slaughterhouse,(Howard Lyman said that if you ever have a chance to visit a slaughterhouse, don't.
Agreed. I respect everyone's views and beliefs, as a difference in opinions is what makes the world go around, but I want the freedom to have my own as well
I agree completely with the both of you. Just because I eat meat doesn't make me a bad person. I am a Christian, and I love animals. I respect vegetarians, I just could never do that.
It does compromise your love of animals. How can you "love" them and eat them?Come on.We really are so prejudiced against the so-called "food animals" WHICH YOU CALL MEAT that we are unaware of it. You cannot truly love animals and also eat them. it defys logic, at least in my book/
do not cows and pigs suffer just as much as dogs?Just because you choose to love only certain animals and think of others as "meat' BECAUSE THEY TASTE GOOD really doesn;t validate it,What if dogs tasted good to you-would you not love them or still love them and EAT them.
I am a good person. I do not eat meat. I am not a Christian,
where i used to live there is a slauter house down town, when my friend applied there i went with her, after that i threw up,i then decided to become a vegetarian. i understand how people could eat meat and still love animals,im the only one out of my family who chose not to kill animals for food. but i cant eat a hamburger and think what that cow went through for me to eat this, when there is plenty more food that didnt die for me to eat.
Wow. You know, not EVERYONE has to be a vegetarian. You can't force someone not to eat meat. And I love all animals, I don't care what you say or what you think. I am a Christian, and I am a good person. I honestly don't care what you think. Say whatever you like, I am not going to change my mind. I respect vegetarians- I just am not one. Most people aren't. And a lot of people aren't vegetarians who love and care for animals- not everyone on here is a vegetarian. I'm sure that there are quite a few people who work for and at ASPCA that are not vegetarians. I am leaving this discussion for good now- when you start insulting people and say that they are a bad person, that's where I draw the line.
I am all for everyones freedoms even the other species. And Kosher slaughter is the cruelest kind there is because of two rules-they must be fully cionscious and they must not be in any othe blood
And hell is here on earth -in the slaughterhouses,You all protest too much in the words of Shakespeare,so eat your meat ( which is of course only a euphemism)and enjoy .
the belief that animals are here for us is something that we made up.the animals may think different.Tell that to a hungry lion about to eat you.Nature is red in tooth and claw, and bloody and cruel. Watch the video if you dare.
Hell that is something we made up, tooAND PLEASE THERE IS NO SUCH THING IN THIS WORLD AS HUMANE SLAUGHTER.
Perhaps your beliefs are wrongIt is not impossible for the open minded to examine and change their beliefs.did you ever question that animals may not be here for us.
why do they feel pain.why do they grieve and care for their young.Perhaps they are not here for us,If God gave them to us why did he make them capable of suffering and feeling pain and fear/ where did this belief come from and have you ever examined it. it is a sewlf-serving myth abd serves us well for food, research, amusement )dog fighting etc) fir coats, circuses, even as companion animals. We once believed that the black race was made for us(aka racism)And don;t forget,"I give you every green and leafy thing> in Genesis, I believe.
If you want to go head on head with the Bible buddy, I am here for you. Do not misquote the Bible. God created man and every living thing but he did mean for humans to use animals for food, work, and companions
Deuteronomy 12:15
15 Nevertheless, you may slaughter your animals in any of your towns and eat as much of the meat as you want, as if it were gazelle or deer, according to the blessing the LORD your God gives you. Both the ceremonially unclean and the clean may eat it.
