I've been complaining about this loser owner that has this beautiful dog, chained up 24/7, the dog house is decreped, she eats measily scraps that the owner throws to her. I was told by the RI SPCA that they cant do anything unless they see the dog is suffering... NOW the next door neighbor called me to take pics of this poor dog's ears being virtually eaten by maggots, and flies are on her ears all day long (never mind what she goes through in the harsh winter, I have pics of her dog house also.)
Someone please tell me if the pic of her ear (both are this way) is worth calling the SPCA...
I've been wanting to take the dog for couple years now.. but he's the type of "old school" owner that thinks a dog is for security purposes ONLY. My husband got soooo sick of me talking about this dog last winter (when it was freezing and alot of snow), that he went and knocked on their door, when the female answered, he said, "You know, it's really cold outside, could you possibly put your dog in your garage?"
The girl responded by saying, "F**ck YOU!" and slammed the door in his face.
I do not live next to these people, it's a friend of mine that's too afraid to do it herself cause she lives next to this idiot.
The Johnston RI animal control will only do so much (nothing)... but now because I have proof of pics of her ears, hopefully the SPCA will take this dog away.
The sad story is... this guy "rescued" this dog from a shelter, and she's probably sooo much worse off being in his hands, living the life on a 10 foot chain, eating scraps, and only getting water when my neighbor gives it to her.
I am sickened, and will not rest untill this dog is freed from this primitive animal of a human being.
contact dogs deserve better if the animal is chained constantly at www.dogsdeservebetter.com and then maybe they'll get an in and be able to remove the animal.
Thanks, Mandy.
I did visit that website, found the rep for the RI area, spoke with her yesterday and sent her pics. Hopefully I'll hear from her again soon.
I feel so bad for this poor dog. I hope something can be done to help this dog. Is it a he or a she? I just don't want to call it an it. But anyway, now that you have the pictures, some action should be taken. Right? Well, again, I hope this dog can be saved. -Shell
i totally agree that all dogs, whatever the breed, should be on a leash. i had a german shepard for 13 years and he was a gentle giant and very well trained. i had a pure pitbull for 10 years and she also was a gentle, sweet dog. i now have a pitbul…
desiree,if thats what you believe you are a fool.any dog can turn and snap at any given second.belles does not hate pits but she is correct.on the leash and totally in control, that is where all dogs should be weather it be a chahuahua or a ridgeback.
