We tried!
We opened the door and a window and tried with 2 brooms and a dust pan plus some towels. The bird just flies around and around the room near the ceiling, coming to rest on a molding or on top of the bookcase.
I also tried turning off all the lights except near the door. That didn't work either. At one point it fell behind the bookcase and we thought it was dead but it came out and is back up by the ceiling.
The room that the bird flew into can you close that room off? If so, leave the door open and hopefully he will fly out. With people in the room you are only scaring the darn thing. The other possible thing would be to get bird seeds and spread on floor leading outside.
Hi Tara! I'm doing the same with limiting the carrots and apples - in fact I've totally cut them out for the moment as my rabbit is on a diet. It's not doing much good as she's still a bit podgy! Ha ha! I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who gets…
