Any advice or experience with cities banning specific breed of dogs? Rottweilers, Pitbulls, is this against our civil rights? How can they take our dogs away?

they shouldnt its just wrong if u give them a chance and the love they need they could be just any other loving if they were voting against banning pitbulls and golden retreivers i would pick pitbulls they can show love more then any other dog if u give them a chance
I was thinking about this BSL and I find that you also can address a letter for you city how you feel about BSL and that it is wrong to profile a dog as we feel that profiling a human to be wrong too. If you like some of the solutions that I have come up with feel free to use them and address to the city.
In my opinion, point out to the city while they are trying to clean up with BSL then you wish your city would clean up all the rapist, murders, child molesters, corrupted government etc. because you have the right feel safe without these people and they should be euthanized as well. Remind them how many of these people are on the street compair to how many dogs have bitten people. Tell them you feel like you are being ruled under Hitler's spell and that this country is becoming Nazi. LOL! Okay, I won't go that far but it is a thought.
Thank you, I just didn't know where to start. I did look at the states legislation on this, and found it to be quite vague giving the cities the right to do what they want, which is sooo very wrong. I will look at the BSL. I am going to start writing letters to the legislature as well, these people need to be educated. Just because pitbulls and Rottweilers are owned by some bad people, not everyone is raising their dogs in this manner.
This is the very exact point many are trying to get across. Don't band the breed but punish those that own the dog and not the dog.
It is so rediculous and point out that the media only likes to target Pit Bulls when there are many other dog bites of other breeds out there.
Give them solutions and not just round up all the dogs and kill them. To me, that is being Nazi and doing what Hitler did because he didn't like jews. I think there are some states that the law doesn't give them the right to make such bans. It is violating our rights of what we can own.
No need to apologize for the language as I am right there with you on that one. Exactly, why we need to let the law know that not all dogs and owners are bad. If they are going to make a law...stick to the law when we say enough abuse, enough of bad owners, enough on dog-fighting...just enough!
I actually looked at the WA state legislaqtion bill #2861, and it only talks about banning wolf hybrids and dangerous dogs, no breed even mentioned, however the bill said cities could set there own rules. I would like to know how each city has soooo much power they can just make it up as they want. Not RIGHT! I am so mad, and so are all my dog loving friends. I plan on started an email campaign in my state, bombarding our legislators this bill needs to be changed and re-written, and who gave all the power to each city anyway? Nazi ism if you ask me.
I wouldn't know from personal experience that she won't be but in my opinion very good socialization and as I would put it "extensive doggy training boot camp" at an early age will be the best to prevent any issues and at any sign of aggression corr…
This is a group for anyone who wants to voice any opinion that they have on pit bulls. Whether you like them or not, you have a right to your own opinion . Just as long as you remember, If We Kill The Innocent, We Become The Enemy!
