This is the only place I know to put this comment. The dog is already dead.

I have a so-called friend who has at least 5 dogs maybe more and at least one cat maybe more. She left garbage containing meat and fish bones and all kinds of nasty garbage where the dogs could get at it. When she came home it was all over the kitchen floor. Now one of the dogs is dead because of eating the stuff. She told me it was poison. She did not take the dog to the vet because she had no money. Now the dog id dead. If you have pets, especially meat eating pets do you leave that stuff where they can get it?? or is it just me??????

Also after Barbero and Eight Belles dying now they are racing another horse with a cracked hoof. Where is PETa????? Where are they???? What are they doing when they are not asking for money???????

it kills me when people cannot take care of their dogs. it sucks because you can't do anything about it. all these laws....most let things like animal abuse and neglect just slide by! i just posted about my roomates dog. she abuses that dog like crazy (when no one is around to see her). that poor dog is going to starve to death or die b/c of her hitting it. i'm suprised PETA isn't doing anything about the horse racing. they shouldve been protesting at the derby or something.

Did anyone see the chevy truck commercial with the dog licking some feet?? What do you think of it?? I think it is the worst commercial ever made or else I didn't see them all.

I didn't see this commercial myself ...
But my little chiweiner dog Buddy just lovessss summer time because everyone wears sandals and he just loves to lick toes...it makes him just jump with joy to see bare feet!!!

Hi everyone,
this is my 1st time here. I'm desperate for help and don't know where else to turn. Hopefully some of you might have some advice for me. I won't go into details right now but the bottom line is right now my 2 beagles are living at my home without me, my nephew lives around the corner and has been taking care of them. My place is going on the market and the place I'm staying now cannot have pets. I'm fresh out of rehab and am in the process of rebuilding my whole life, which until the day I die or they do they will remain with me no matter what. My dilemma lies in how I can find someone to foster care for them until I find a new home for us. I have no money or transportation right now so I can't pay to board them and find myself at the point of doing whatever I need to do to make sure they are cared for properly until we can be together again, which I hope will be soon, but what to do in the meantime!!! I would be so grateful for any suggestions anyone may have. thank you alll for taking the time to read this and I look forward to your responses

Question About a 3 yr old Female in Heat????????

Snickers is 3 now and hasn't been fixed yet - not to worry because she is an inside only cat and her room-mates are already "fixed" She seems to be in heat every other day now - she is quiet enuf with the howling part but just recently started to piddle on the floor. She will use her litter box to poop but will christen my floor every time. I know un-altered males can spray - is this a female version of that or just a bizzare habit?

I need some help. I was given a chi-mix for free. He is not neutered but when the ASPCA has a van in my area I will get it done. He said that he had all his shots, he's 4yrs old. He is afraid of everything, loud noises, trucks, cars, more than one child. He has gotten better, over the last few days. He seems to be house-broken. He has only had 2 accidents and they weren't his fault because I didn't know his signs. The question I have is will it always be like this? My grandson is here visiting and the dog snapped at him. I tapped him on the nose to let him know that was not right to do. He is better but I know that he shouldn't be with any small kids! What can I do to get him used to my grandson?

The problem here is that more than likely he was never around children and doesn't know how to act around them, or a child could have teased him while he was young and so now he just doesn't like them. As much as I hate to say this, he will probably never change this behavior with your grandson, but what can help is hold the dog and teach your grandson the right ways of petting him and explain that he is old and just would prefer to be left alone. I hope all goes well. You have a long road ahead of ya.

I have a chiweiner (a chi and a weiner dog mix)
and I have found the way to his heart is thru his tummy so you might try having your grandson give him tiny bits of yummies (with an open palm only because they tend to snap at food too)
and they love to be chased and to chase

i am trying to make a new discussion but i cannot and i have a very important question..
I HAVE A 5 MONTH OLD PUPPY (maltipoo). SHE HAS BEEN URINATING FREQUENTLY AND AT TIMES GOING TO URINATE BUT NOTHING COMES OUT.
( there is no strain though) .

ALSO HER SNOUT IS ALWAYS SOAKING WET ( like she took a bath but she hasnt and this is all the time). LIKE LAST NIGHT I DRIED IT BEFORE I WENT TO BED WHEN I WOKE UP THIS MORNING IT WAS SOAKING WET AGAIN? WHAT COULD BE WRONG???

I am taking her to the vet on thursday but until then i dont know what to do . Please help me

what did the vet have to say? I was willing to bet she had a uti or bladder infection. Hope all went well.

I live in Monroe, MI and I am trying to find a home for my son's dog. He is a Jack Russell and over the past year has become aggressive due to being left home alone too much. He wasn't always this way and I feel can get the training needed to be a good pet to someone. He has been in the Humane Society and three different homes in the past few months and is very confused and I can not find any shelters to help me, because of his aggression. He growls and is very unsure of new people, but has not bitten anyone that I know of. He was a lovable dog until my son couldn't give him the attention he deserved. I can not keep him and I've have tried everything I know to get him help. If I can not find someone soon, I'm afraid he will have to be put down. He is three years old and I really feel can be trained if the right person wants to put in the time with him. Please, if you have any ideas for me or are interested in helping him, email me.
