Do not use SERGEANT'S GOLD FLEA AND TICK SQUEEZE ON

Sergeant's Gold Flea and Tick Squeeze-On for Dogs. I applied this product to my dog as directed, and within hours she was vomiting, foaming at the mouth, drooling and had no control of her legs. I was NOT happy with this product AT ALL. Thank God she is okay now, after calling my vet and doing what they told me to do. We had to immediately bathe her with dishwashing liquid, and then start getting her to take in water and chicken broth. She is very tired now and resting, but doing okay....IMMEDIATE difference after getting that crap off her. I absolutely WOULD NOT RECOMMEND this product to ANYONE !!!

Has anyone else had a problem with this product ??

you can contact the retailer where you bought the product and demand they take it off the market. contact the EPA to file an adverse reaction report @ 800-858-7378. contact sergeants via mail demanding the product be taken off the market (or at the VERY least, state the obvious horrific side effects that are possible on the package). also file a complaint at www.consumeraffairs.com.

i did all of these things. sargeants truly does not care. they sent me a letter stating that they follow EPA guidelines and state that many consumers do not know how to use the product and therefore experience these reactions. when i wrote them i asked them what they had to say about all of the people out there on consumer affairs websites that are complaining...they told me...you cant trust what you read on the internet!

they are boldly incompetent and negligent. all of you must complain and make a BIG noise before anything is done. i am thinking about contacting the local trouble shooting news reporter to at least give them some bad press. people need to know this information.

Back in the "old days", we didn't have any options but either Hartz or Sargents.. they also used flea collars. We never had these kinds of issues.. but I'm shocked that with so many problems there hasn't been some sort of class action or demand for testing.

back in the old days we didn't have the internet by which to hear complaints from the whole planet. except from here, I've never heard of any problem with the hartz flea sprays.

It is not only the Sergeants Gold, my sister used the Silver and the some of the same reactions came from it. He was almost in seizures.

They emailed me back saying the number of incidents is "relatively low" but when researched, I found the EPA alone had 13,000 incidents reported in 2008 about pets who reacted to Sergeants products. UNBELIEVEABLE!

Hi we have a male Jack Russell Terrier who weighs 25 pounds. Jake is approximately 6 years old and in good health. Last night I purchased the Sergeants Gold Flea and Tick Squeeze for Dogs-21-39 pounds. I put the squeeze on Jake at approximately 8:00 PM according to the directions. From what I can tell, Jake did not ingest any of the product. After about 3 hours, Jake got a little sick with some slight nausea. At that time, I took a towel and attempted to remove the product from his coat. Through the night he threw up 2-3 times and when I awoke this morning, I gave him a bath to wash off the product. It has now been approximately 17 hours, Jake has not thrown up since last night but seems kind of lethargic and not his usual frisky self. Never again!!!

my mother purchased this product from wal-mart earlier today and applied it to her 2yo male shih tzu. within an hour, he was foaming at the mouth, twitching uncontrollably and salivating everywhere. ive spent all day and night talking my mom through what to do, shes bathed him 3 times with dish detergent and is heating up some chicken broth as i type this reply. she feels HORRIBLE and GUILTY for wanting to save a couple of bucks and putting her "baby" through this. BEWARE OF THIS PRODUCT, DO NOT TRY IT OUT OR THINK IT CANT HAPPEN TO YOUR DOG!!!!

THANK YOU all SO much for the information on this product. I was going to save some money and try it out (but I was going to check with my vet first), and now I know to not even consider it. Thank you all so much for saving my beloved dog, and me, from this grief. It would have torn me apart.

Hi all!
I had just went and applied this product to my English Bulldog, not to soon after he started foaming at the mouth and then vomiting. I had thought maybe this was heat of something of the sort, so i took him down and gave him a bath. I looked at where i had applied these drops and it had burnt him, his skin was a deep tan with a clear liquid covering. I was horrified, i couldn't believe they can sell this stuff on the shelves it should be taken off immediately. So please listen and do not buy this product it is toxic. Thanks to all that have spent this time to read. God Bless.

You and your cohorts are like a group of geriatric insurgents. "our site" please. And your threats are falling on deaf ears Dixie. ASPCA site and the "open" discussions are just that "open". The only thing a good attorney will tell you is to get off…
