PitBullRescue

Ed Faron arrested. His Pit Bulls being held until trial. UPDATE: The dogs have been killed.

I know of the 127+ Pit Bull Dogs that were removed from Ed Faron's property recently by Wilkes County & the Humane Society of the U.S.. The Humane Society will kill these dogs after Ed Faron's trial is over..if he loses. All I know is that it is the "plan" to kill the pit bull dogs in order to illiminate this "top game blood line" with no consideration for the puppies, young dogs or the non aggressive pit bull mommies who have been "puppy milled" until they are skinny with swollen mammary glands from from giving birth to so many litters. Since most of the females had been bred..there are puppies still being born.

I am haunted about the fate of these beautiful animals.
I am told there is no room anywhere in rescue centers for these dogs and I am desperate to find "SOMETHING" to save these precious dogs. I know that we are over run with animals here in our local shelter and all over the country. Can anyone think of a possible solution to this "time sensitive" issue?

I am limited to the amount of communication I can risk about these Pit Bull Dogs...but I HAD to reach out and try SOMETHING. How can I not at least try? This situation is making me sick.

Q. Shouldn’t we just ban pit bulls?

A. Absolutely not. We should ban the people that teach them to fight and kill.

HOW YOU CAN HELP:

► Please contact each of the following individuals and respectfully ask them to contact and allow professionals like Best Friends or ASPCA or Bad Rap to arrange for behavior evaluations of the dogs, assistance and placement of dogs that pass a stringent behavior evaluation.

Wilkes County is getting to go down in history. Ask them if they want to be known as the North Carolina County that murdered 140 dogs that had already been victimized by criminal dog fighting and criminal sales to dog fighters.

I haven't heard of this case, but it's really sad that this is happening to innocent animals. Have you tried talking to someone incharge of the fate of the animals? hope this helps. <:3( )~

The Humane Society of the U.S. is in charge. Humane is becoming a word we can no longer honor..there are too many animals and "no room at the Inn". The dogs have no voice and will die if I can't keep searching until I find someone / something...this is seriously so sad...

Hearing about these dogs that get killed because there are just too many is one thing...but seeing it is horrific.

We are becoming a society that cannot handle it's pet overpopulation and even the rescue people are becoming compassion fatigued.

Where do I turn...who do I ask?

I know how u feel. It seems like there is nothing we can do to help these defenseless animals sometimes.

Thank you so much for your response. Obviously, I have to be very careful who I communicate with about these dogs. Do you have a website address of your kennel or the name of your kennel so that I can do a "check" before I talk to you?

I have heard they seized all of Ed's dogs. I love my pitbulls and have been very uncomfortable knowing the fate of these dogs will be left to the Human Society. Also with hearing that they want 50,000 dollars to care for the dogs! Thats crazy! I boarded dogs 4 a 1 1/2 yrs It was great I love the contact with the dogs! And I wouldnt trade my two pitbulls for any of the Hundreds of dogs I boarded. I do live above a groomer that does boarding we have a bout 20 kennels. I also have placed several dogs in the past. People tell me thwere dogs or friends dogs need homes and I tell them all the same. I'll look around and see who wants or can take on another dog just hold on to it,but if u cant then bring it here instead of the Human society. Whats crazy is they just saved all of Vicks dogs now they kill these??? We should check into what rescue was in charge of that!!:) contact me Email:Emr20012001@yahoo.com

The rescue in charge of the Ed Faron dogs is Wilkes County and the Humane Society of the U.S.

$50,000 to care for the dogs?...I don't know... but I do know that people have to be paid every day, building rent, water, heat, food, disinfectant soap cleaners, cleaning tools, bedding, kennels, vacinations, worm medicine..and then there's the sick dogs that have to be treated by a vet. There are over 60 puppies...lots of expense to get their shots, etc. It does take a load of money when you break it down.

I love pit bull dogs and hate that they are considered to be too dangerous to live nd be re-homed. I despise dog fighting, but from what I know now, if I knew about it, I would never tell the Humane Society because it seems that all they want to do is search and destroy the breed..especially the powerful "game" bloodlines like Ed Faron's. I don't feel like we are doing any animal a favor if we rescue it only to kill it.

The Humane Society wanted to kill the Vick dogs too, but the judge in THAT court case appointed Rebecca Huss to represent the Michael Vick dogs. These Ed Faron dogs need a lawyer!

The rescue in charge of the Vick dogs was Bad Rap in North CA and Best Friends Animal Society in Utah. Have you reached out to either of those?

Yes...I am contacting everybody. But thank you so very much for your care to suggest those two wonderful organizations. Best Friends has replied to me and I am in contact with one of the Best Friends representatives. Their case loads are huge. After the Vick case...everyone in this situation is contacting these people. We have to fight this battle on our end with someone fresh stepping up to offer help. PitBull dogs are being killed all across this country because they are seized from dog fighters and considered to be dangerous animals. These Wildside Kennels dogs are wonderful, funny, playful, affectionate. It took them a while..but they have learned to trust us. I am sick with worry about their fate.

Seems to me this case needs some publicity. Have you contacted the ASPCA to see if they can provide any help? If the word could get out about these dogs and the right people hear it there could be help available. I'm not sure why you are limited as to what you can communicate but that is not helping the situation. How about contacting media?

Reply to This

That is an excellant suggestion and in my plans...however, We cannot contact the media about the Ed Faron dogs until after Ed Faron has had his day in court. If it gets out to the public or anybody where the dogs are being held, anything could happen..most of it not good.

As soon as Ed Faron goes to court (April, I think)..I will be contacting the media to plea for help to save the lives of these dogs.

In the meantime, the conditions in which these dogs must be held all of this time are not conditions that animals can vigorously thrive in We are already losing puppies.

I feel so helpless. I've got the will...but I can't find the way...

They are afraid of a fighting dog getting into the hands of someone who would want to use the dog to fight...the very situation tthat they rescued the dogs from....even if it was neutered. The Pit Bull dog breed IS in danger.
