Ed Faron arrested. His Pit Bulls being held until trial. UPDATE: The dogs have been killed.

I know of the 127+ Pit Bull Dogs that were removed from Ed Faron's property recently by Wilkes County & the Humane Society of the U.S.. The Humane Society will kill these dogs after Ed Faron's trial is over..if he loses. All I know is that it is the "plan" to kill the pit bull dogs in order to illiminate this "top game blood line" with no consideration for the puppies, young dogs or the non aggressive pit bull mommies who have been "puppy milled" until they are skinny with swollen mammary glands from from giving birth to so many litters. Since most of the females had been bred..there are puppies still being born.

I am haunted about the fate of these beautiful animals.
I am told there is no room anywhere in rescue centers for these dogs and I am desperate to find "SOMETHING" to save these precious dogs. I know that we are over run with animals here in our local shelter and all over the country. Can anyone think of a possible solution to this "time sensitive" issue?

I am limited to the amount of communication I can risk about these Pit Bull Dogs...but I HAD to reach out and try SOMETHING. How can I not at least try? This situation is making me sick.

Wilkes County is getting to go down in history. Ask them if they want to be known as the North Carolina County that murdered 140 dogs that had already been victimized by criminal dog fighting and criminal sales to dog fighters.

If HSUS wanted to evaluate the Ed Faron dogs and pay for it, this is news to me. I understood that Best Friends out of Utah offered to pay for evaluations to save some of the dogs...but never heard about HSUS making any such offer. I followed the case closely...and I understood (from witnesses that were in court that day) that HSUS representatives testified in court AGAINST the Wildside Kennel Ed Faron pit bull dogs. HSUS testified that all the dogs were too dangerous and risky to be allowed to live... and they testified to this with NO evaluations by legitimate outside non-biased sources. I also contacted HSUS when I was trying to find someone to help me save the dogs and got zero response from anyone in their organization. But Best Friends responded to me and others and continued to correspond with me on the case.

Yes, HSUS has busted many dog fighters...and dog fighters should be busted and convicted. But I have not found any cases yet where the dogs were seized and saved...only that the dogs were killed. Except for the Vick dogs, where the judge intervened and appointed Rebecca Huss to represent those dogs and that's what saved them...only case of dogs being allowed to be evaluated and live. I talked to Rebecca Huss also. I talked with everyone I could find that might be remotely interested in the Faron case. HSUS was one of the few who did not respond. Actions speak louder than words.

Yes, dog fighters are the REAL problem here...but dogs being saved from criminals only to be victimized again and killed by the system and NC laws is sickening to me. Other states with different definitions of what a "dangerous animal" is ...where there was a better chance of the dogs being evaluated and saved...those pit bull dogs seized by HSUS were also killed. This time there were precious, innocent new born puppies killed along with the adult dogs. Many puppies that never even set foot on grass or allowed outdoors away from their warehouse prison where they were held as “evidence” until Faron's trial.

HSUS might be saying something different NOW about how seized pit bull dogs should be evaluated instead of just killed...but I suspect it's only because of the public attention they are starting to get over their past actions and over many puppies being slaughtered in this case. The money only pours in if they are a "Humane" Society that focuses on saving animals...not killing them...even pit bull dogs.

The 145 APBT dogs that were killed by North Carolina law, Wilkes County and HSUS on February 17, 2009 still eats at my gut.

Just to kill an animal because it was born a certain breed is wrong. Ifeel it is the responabily of the owner to train their pet. Remember there are no bad pets just bad pet owners. If more pet owners would take the time and learn as much about the animal they want as a pet. We would all hear a lot less about animal and people inadents on the news.

This is rediculous!! I feel so much for Pitbulls and if it was up to me, I would have definately tried my hardest to find homes for all these dogs. The Government and everybody else that has to do with it, does not know how to do their jobs properly. All these people care about is money, and it's not fair!! If they were to put themselves in these dog's shoes, there is no way they would want to be killed or trained to fight. I will do all I can to help have the Pitbulls as I believe they are the most loyal of all breeds. A message to the Pitbulls...I WILL ALWAYS BE FIGHTING FOR YOU!!!!!
