I have a dog his name is kody. he was inbreed. but, I didnt know it. I got another pup the same as kody come from. the one pup I had he died at 9 weeks old. his in sides shut down and to much to say. they wanted 400.00 to do the surgey on him. so I went up to pay the money. they only give him a 20-100 pecent chance that he would live. I did not care! if I did not. then if he did die. there was that 20 percent chance that he could live. all of the pups from that died from that litter. but, not my kody. he is VERY slow! it took him a LONG time to learn things. and, he still is not right. but, he is a VERY good watch dog! the mother that had them got pregnet by the first litter she had. and that is were they come from. but, they, didnt tell me that. has any got a dog or any other animal like this??

Sorry for your loss. You did not say what breed, or what disease your pup had
In future when picking a breeder for the particuliar breed of dog you want please go to the breed club they will list breeders.
A reputable breeder will answer all questions you have. Reputable show breeders rarely if ever interbreed because they want dogs that comply with the breed standard and are healthy.
They sell the ones that are pet quality, that it those that do not meet the breed standard for height, coloring slight overbite etc.

Unfortunately, some breeders are in it just for the money. A good breeder does it to better the breed. This is a huge problem in the pet business. Your furchild is lucky to have a mom like you, one who loves and cares.

The best thing you can do is get the word out about this breeder. If you can stop people from buying from her, maybe she will stop breeding.

My Snerty was from an OOPS litter (brother and sister). It wasn't intentional; but it happened. Snerty seemed normal in most ways, except that he had lots of skin tumors over his lifetime (mostly sebaceous cysts). As a result of his tumors, he had lots of surgeries costing a small fortune. I wish I had had him covered with health insurance. From my understanding, his entire litter did reasonably well; and many including him were deemed show quality.

my dogs were mix breed. I didnt pay no money for them. but, I know now this goes on. I didnt understand about inbreed until now. my dog kody that is now is 7 years old. i guess i am lucky that he does not have more things wrong with him. the one dog that i have now is from the same father,but different mother. he is the one in the pic. I cant belive that this does go on! I was told that the one dog down the street was the father of kody and the one I had that died. then, after he died they told me that ..Oh! it was bear! the son of the first litter. I only took my dog that is in the pic because he has a little white tip on his tail. My dog that died had that. I am glad I did! he is the best dog ever! VERY smart, Good dog. but, I did not know that this does go on about inbreed. that is why I posted it. My inbeed dog kody is a good dog. but, very slow. he runs into the wall and when he goes out side to go to the bathroom he will fall over. he will get scard and run to the door. and, it took a LONG time to teach him things! very long time! I love him so much! I am still so glad he does not have more wrong with him. im glad that i did post this cause, now i know that people do,do this type of thing.
