I would Never do it. Ony a Kong is advisable for the life of your dog. Dogs should not even be fed ham although I realize this is a bone still a no, no, like rawhides and pigs ears. Hope this helps. bobbie

If you are not sure about it, then it would be best NOT to. You can always ask your vet to check and see if it is okay.

I am a vet. tech. and no matter what people say, YOU SHOULD NEVER GIVE ANY ANIMAL BONES. They dont digest. We recently got a dog in the office for stomach problems. And X RAYS showed bones, sticks, and rocks in his belly. They just stay in there belly. So, I would have to say No Bones. I dont let any of my animals have bones, but thats my opinion

I give my dogs raw marrow bones.. and pick them up after a couple of days. I appreciate that you're a vet tech, but I've never had a problem in 30 years.. and I believe the benefit from a raw bone on occasion outweighs the risk as long as you're careful that the bones are removed after the marrow is done and the chewing is over.

If your dog is breaking the bones and eating the chunks, remove the bone, of course. To be honest, I don't trust ANYTHING SOLD BY WALMART for my pet. From flea collars to frisbees.. they do not sell quality merchandise in my opinion.

No, because the consumption of bones might cause organ puncture and organ puncture can lead to death. I would never give my dogs any kind of bones because of the possibility of bone splinter. Chewing on hard bones may crack or break a dogs tooth.. Tooth pain is unbearable to dogs, and if the tooth is that can lead to secondary infections. Natural bones can cause a lot of issues. I would suggest a bone shaped treat or chew bones that are healthy and nutritional. Have you tried sweet potato chews or the natural chicken jerky that your dog can chew on, but the chicken jerky is soft, it can't splinter and is nutritional.
