WELL THIS IS MY NEW BABY I AM WORKING ON, MY SHITY NEIGHBORS HAS HAD HER FOR A WEEK, I JUST ABOUT WENT TO JAIL YESTERDAY I WENT OVER THERE AND ASKED THEM TO TAKE CARE OF THIRE DOG AND WENT BACK HOME.... I WENT TO THE BACK BEDROOM TO SEE IF THAY WENT OUT THERE, AND THE GIRL WENT OUT THERE ALRIGHT SHE WAS KICKING THE BABY!!! WELL I HIT THE WINDOW BEFORE I KNEW IT THEN I WENT OVER THERE INTO THE YARD AND ASKED HER DID SHE WANT ME TO KICK HER!!!! WOW I WAS SO MAD!!!!I STOPED AND WENT BACK HOME GOT IN MY TRUCK AND WENT TO THE HUMANE SOCIETY MADE A STATEMENT,THEN THE POLICE... SOME TIMES IT IS HEARD NOT TO TAKE MATTERS IN YOUR OWN HANDS!!! Thank God!!!!! for people like you Free Spiirt. You are very patient, It's been a week already. I don't think I could sit around a watch this for a week. These poor animals! either I or my Husband would of probably been in jail by now. What is taking them so long to help these animals? They could be dead by now. People like this should have all rights to have any type of animal taking away for life! I pray they will get help soon.

I understand what you're going through. I've always had at least one neighbor who doesn't take care of their animals. I'm guessing you couldn't go over and ask nicely because they would have blown you off. In my experience some people just don't care and would rather cuss you out for caring about their animals and "business" then let you help them out.

Would they be willing to give up this dog? They don't seem to care much about it. Its obvious they have more important things going on. 10 people! are they young people? A couple different generations? Whats wrong with people today? With 10 people there should be someone responsible enough to take care of this dog. OR Not!!! YOU ARE A GREAT PERSON FREE SPIRIT! WELL 5 OF THEM ARE KIDS.. AND NO I TRIED TO GET HER SHE HAS ONLY BEEN THERE A WEEK, AND THAY TOLD THE ANIMAL CONTROLER AND I THE DOG WAS THERE UNCELS DOG AND HE WAS COMMING TO GET HER YAH RIGHT.... THANKS MY FRIEND SHELLIE.....

It is disturbing but you can really only do so much. My grandma's neighbors have a black lab, yellow lab, chocolate lab and a scottie. They take care of the scotty but they other three live in a very small run.. They never leave it. The dogs are fed about once a week if they are lucky and usually only when the neighbors and I feed them. They are nothing but bones. I finally got them to do an investigation on the dogs and they officer told me the dogs are just fine. HAH Now one of the dogs has died. I did all I could. Please take videos, pictures and log everything!!! I didn't and nothing was done about it. Keep a log of everyone you talk to and the day and time. Log it all!!!!! People like this make me sick!!!!!!
Without people like the in these forums so many animals would continue tosuffer.

First, let me just say that there is no such thing as a stupid person. People seem to throw words around because they are all rattled up and can’t think of appropriate words to say to what we really want to say. We all are educated to a degree. Even a person that has a PhD isn’t smart about everything. They are smart in their field of expertise. So, not everyone is going to know about everything and this doesn’t make one stupid. Isn’t there a subject that you have very little knowledge about? Does this make you a stupid person? No, it just makes you ignorant on the subject. So, with that being said, people don’t know about everything and aren’t trying to make it seem like they do. This doesn’t make an author of an article wrong and it doesn’t make the person that comments wrong. Both parties can be right/wrong. It is about respecting ones opinion and helping one another understand and perhaps teaching people along the way.

Now, Free Spirit didn’t provide too many details in this article. It is quick for everyone to become angry along with her. Now, here comes Chris, he is being calm and thinking outside of the box as we all are just so off the wall here to think rationally. I too did the same thing. All I thought about was go knock the block of these idiot neighbors. Then, I started reading his comments. Later, in the many comments we learned that this has been an ongoing problem she has been dealing with. No one knew this from the beginning. Again, now Chris just sees the drugs being not the issue here but the dog(s) and what she could be doing for them without further pissing her dam neighbors off. Be the solution to the problem. Smart thinking because you don’t want the neighbor to continue hurting the dog or come after yours. You need to build up some trust here because when the authority comes you bet they won’t be civil and just may end up hurting the dogs or killing them. I then wouldn’t want this on my consciences.

So, Free Spirit has the right to be angry since she knows the full story as she is living it and we can be angry with her too as we feel her frustrations while she waits. In addition, we have to sit back and wait as bits and pieces are being told. This doesn’t make anyone here “stupid, uneducated, morons, idiots etc.” What we could be doing is like Chris said…be the solution to the problem. He isn’t a total uneducated idiot here. People are just too quick to tear people apart instead of attacking the issue and not the person. Those dogs have Free Spirit watching out for them now while help is on the way hopefully.

The question is: What can we do from our end to help?
