One More Reason to Hate John & Kate Plus Eight.. Now, it's Minus Two!

I was never much of a fan of the TLC reality show "Jon & Kate Plus 8," but I recall that they added a couple of dogs to their brood at one point - two beautiful German Shepherds that seemed to enjoy roaming the family's expansive grounds.

Well, the breakup of the marriage between Jon and Kate Gosselin turned out not to be a good thing for Shoka and Nala, who were returned to their breeder in September.

At the time, Kate Gosselin said "They'll come back, but for now I needed a break." The Allentown (Pa.) Morning Call reports that Kate also said she "never intended to give them back," but the dogs "needed more than I could give them."

Hmm. I don't mean to sound skeptical, but I wonder whether the dogs were little more than a storyline for the TV show. Give the family a couple of dogs, let them wreak havoc on the house for a week or two, then slip them into a few background scenes as the series moves along.

I hope not. But as USA Today blogger Anne Godlasky points out, on the video showing the Gosselins originally picking out the dogs, Kate says, "I could go my whole life without having a dog."

No joke! Why on earth would you willingly put your body and mind through something like that...we as a species weren't supposed to produce litters! They were lucky with the twins, they got selfish by wanting just one more and ended up conceiving 6....then to willingly turn their lives into a freak show is just shameful!

Didn't that woman take fertility drugs before getting pregnant with that many babies? I personally can't understand why anyone would want more than two kids, and only then after age 30. It's enough of a sacrifice with one or two, but you might as well just realize your life is over if you have eight. There's no way parents could pay attention to that many kids, particularly a self-absorbed Ed Hardy/diamond earring wearing/nanny dating husband & his bizarrely coifed shrew of a wife.

The dogs are probably better off finding a real family.

They were on fertility drugs to conceive the twins (the first babies)....and then they wanted to try for one more and ended up with 6. It's a selfish thing to do, they could have just been happy to have been blessed with the twins.

I saw bits and pieces of it (my sister in law was addicted to it and refuses to give up control of the TV remote at the cabin) and that Kate is a nasty little shrew. I'd hate to have her as a mother. Man, she was snippy and acted nuts in whatever episode I was unlucky enough to have caught. I don't even know if the Jon guy was in the little bit I saw. But she was...ugh. Yick. What an icky person.

I watched the show once and that's the EXACT thought I had about Kate, what a horrible nasty shrew of a woman! She was mean to Jon, she was horrible to the kids, the only one she put a show on for was the darn camera! Every time Jon tried to say something or get involved she'd basically tell him to shut up or just talk over him...he was a beaten man.

That is just sick...if you're gonna preach it, you better practice it. I saw one tid bit of a show where she was screaming in the face of one of her kids to potty, and they weren't allowed off the potty until they did. The kid was crying and shaking. I wanted to reach through the TV and smack that *insert sentence enhancer here*

She'd be lucky her kids visit her after they dump her in a home...

My husband watches some goofy show every night at 6:30 that covers all the carrying on of the stars.. I think for him it's mindless entertainment. But I was cooking dinner and overheard them say that she wants to pursue a career in Hollywood films. Gee, no surprise there!

Send her off with Balloon Boy's parents.. LOL

balloon boy was a kid that 'hid' in a balloon. the balloon was a wheather balloon that the dad created and it took off on 'accident' they cops chased the balloon down and the kid wasnt in it, everyone was freaking out, but it ended up being a hoax, the kid was really hiding in his atic, the dad set up the whole thing

and, they got the dogs from a kennel. kind of like a puppy mill. that really discusted me. i watched the video on youtube, and it LOOKED like a puppy mill kind of
