i know mine are very special to me and sometimes they forget they are so called old, and play like puppies that is even cuter than puppies playing, if that makes sense. Aneat story I think.Once whe I was just stared the rescue while at grocery store a hound dog just jumped into my truck like she belong there or new what we did. Took her home and she was precious.Well she was very old and turned out she had heart worms very badly so of course no one would want to adopt her...wrong! a very young girl, living in an upstairs apartment with a full busy life going to school etc. knowing full well her situation and not long to live, in fact she gave me my first computer, anyway she took her home, everyday carried her up and down those stairs took her to vet paid out a lot of money and took care of her and LOVED her ,until one day she snuggled up to her and just went to sleep.

I agree with everyone as the ones i get are seniors as people just don't want them as with my last one they didn't want her because she is blind and deaf and she had a skin condition but, after treatment she's fine.I love my seniors and my home will always be open to those seniors who need a safe and loving place to call home.

Seniors are great to have as they are a calmer dog and they have so much love as i have four ages 9,10,11 and 12,all are rescues as that's what i do,most don't want the seniors anymore so i take them,as two are blind and deaf and one has three legs and my other has a slight hearing issue.I love them all so much, they are my sunshine everyday.

i've got senior pets of my own and also foster other seniors regularly - there's never any sweat if they don't get rehomed, as i keep them for however long is necessary, sometimes for the rest of their lives. older animals are very special and i would always take them if the need arose - i currently have 2 foster dogs of 8+, both of whom are just lovely. i can never understand why someone would overlook them in favour of younger animals.

My Sheba is about 9 years old. She's a nice, quiet companion. Sometimes older dogs don't get a fair chance. i think everyone who thinks about adoption should consider them.

I think that just because they are old doesnt mean that they dont have as much soul as a puppy.

It is insane to say that the round-ups are not working if you yourself have seen that the horses are healthy and happy out there. That is the point of the roundups. A mare can have one foal per year and each foal can begin having a foal per year at…
