Hello fellow pit lovers! My name is Christine, I am a Pit Rescue volunteer. I actively fight BSL and like to educate people on the wonderful qualities of the breed. My family has had Pit Bulls for 34 years and we have found them to be nothing less than the most wonderful, loving breed on this planet!

I think it is horrible that all these people want to get rid of these dogs, because they dont know these dogs, they dont understand these dogs, all they go by os what they were taught, what they heard from other people, what they saw. They dont go by the truth. They go by the daily lies that those idiots out there in the world talk about. Once they own one of the dogs on the list below they could maybe change their minds about the dogs. But they wont. They wont own one, touch one, or anything. The only thing they will do is kill them, torture them. It disgusts me. I hate those people. They fear these beautiful animals because of the lies that these people have been taught. These people need to open their eyes and realize that all the pain these dogs go through because of their "viciousness" is because of the owners, the people that treat them like crap. All they are trying to do is make their owners happy. Thats what all these dogs live for, is trying to get the love they deserve from the bad owners that dont see their true value. They want to make them happy so bad, that they will do anything, whether it means fighting and risking their own lives, to get appreciated. They will do anything. And people dont realize this. All they see these breeds as are mean, vicious, beasts. This is a lie. These dogs can be as gentle as house cats when they are given the love they deserve. The appreciation, the confidence they deserve. I hope that one day soon all the horrible people out their will realize the wrong they have done. Pass this on to anyone you can, maybe it will change the opions on some of the stupid people put there.

People wake up!!!! The Rottie, then the Sheppard, the Dobie, Then it will be your Breed next!!Are you gonna idlelly sit ring side and wait till that day arises to opt to stand up and decide to do something.Or are you gonna get the ball rolling now to prevent it from ever happening. That is the whole reason why thousands of us fight for these dogs. Because there are thousands of you who just don't see the logic. And the sad thing is...We don't fight for the Bully Breeds or all the other Dog's that are on the list.Apparently...ALOT of you are asleep on this issue.....WAKE UP. Look on-line!!! YOUR dog may be next!! Then will you run out and offer your name to someone who doesn't even own YOUR breed yet wants to help CANINE in general?

I don't think it helps that ONLY pitbulls make the news so people are led to think they are the only dogs that attack. Oh, actually I did read about a JRT who attacked a baby and the news made sure to report that the family also owned a pitbull, though the pitbull had nothing to do with the attack. Yes, biased journalism is rampant.

I love both of Karen Delise's books and had ordered 'Fatal Dog Attacks' and the book company mistakenly sent it to another person. Hopefully, I will get my copy soon.

I agree with placing blame where blame belongs. When you treat an animal badly that animal will lash out to defend itself if it can. Its the people that needs an education not the helpless animals.

I agree with Faith, there is agressive behavior. We has a pit bull for over 14 years and his dad for 8 years before that, never had a problem with their behavior, but people's conseption of the Pit Bull has been tainted by a few owners who have used this breed to show how tuff they are. Don't blaim the dog, they were taught the bad behavior.

I do not believe that there exists an aggressive breed, though I do believe there exists aggressive, stupid, lazy, naive humans who can make any dog, through abuse and/or neglect, an aggressive dog.
