I have 3 dogs that stay outside. I live in the country, so its normal for dogs to run around without fences and stuff. But recently they've been running cars really bad and i'm scared they're going to get hit. when i yell for them to come back they never do. I heard some guy say he put a shock collar on his dog but i think thats cruel and seriously unneccesary! but i don't know what to do. I'm only 14 so i can't go out and by expensive things, 1 my parents can't afford it and neither can i. What could i do i am DESPERATE!!! please please help! thanks!

Train them, start with a leash and tell them to stay and keep them inside that boundary. Treat and praise and then work for a longer stay and then when they have mastered that, you can allow them to have more room in the yard, but never let them be off their leash. You can get a pulley, that attaches to the clothes line and allows them to run but still be attached to the leash. It is like a cable wire. I simply say "stay in your yard" If they even step over that line, they are taught to back up and stay in that area. They have a high predatory drive and things that move they will chase. You also really need teach them to come.
