As a wildlife Rehaber I had the pleasure to work with a Bald Eagle that had been shot, but the injury had been to long and the vet (Clay County's Avian Specialist) could not save her. But she did get her pic in the paper and a story of her life, maybe she didn't die in vain after all. That's what I can hope, and there still is a $10K reward for her killer.

This one was landing right in front of me, thats why the background is blurry. If a telephoto lens and the eagle was far away, the background would be sharper.
Got more but dont have time to look due to working for client right now, but found this on a disk while looking for some css and javascript files from a long time ago.

Its from when I was thinking of trying to make a living using what I know with wild animals, and photography, but changed my mind, in the interest of protecting them, I dont invite them any more, but try and have them keep their distance.

I'm glad for places like the ASPCA and all the others, who fought decades ago to ban DDT, that was making egg shells thin and we were loosing our eagles!!!
Lessons like that point to two important things.
1. To be CAREFUL with what we do to this earth with our individual actions.
2. What can be accomplished when 'we the people' work for change to make this a better world.
Our eagles, I know would thank us, for our increased wisdom.

People post those kinds of video because they know they'll get a lot of attention. The more people watch, the more hits the videos get. I think people should avoid watching those sorts of videos. If people don't watch, they may become less popular a…
