Hi everyone, I have a Cockatiel named "baby' who is 6 months old. He is the sweetest thing. He is beginning to talk now. And repeating whistles. I have him out of his cage for most of the day to play. Boy does he hate bed time now...lol

Hi, I'm new to the group and very happy to be here. My "little buddie" is an Eclectus named Reo. Everyone asks "Does he talk?" My answer is always "Can't shut him up!" Wouldn't have it any other way.

I have 3 cockateels. I got them when i was a volunteer at the animal shelter.. I've had them for over 6 years now.. they are all males... they are so very noisie in the morning,
Talyer has a speical song that he sings the same almost everyday.

I was wondering what you thought about this...A friend of mine took me to a friends house where there was a huge outdoor aviary just fencing no heat!. many birds outside in the freezing weather ! Many babies were just left to die by what they said letting nature take its course (If a baby was small and not getting fed by the parents-they 'the owners' would not intervean, they would just let the baby birds die!) I think it's cruel. I am a bird owner and worry about him getting chilled indoors even...

I love birds, especially the wild ones since I dont have the room to have one in my home. I have had several birds through the years. They brought me great joy. Thank you for letting me join your group!

I am owned by a Green-wing Macaw named Dryfus, an Umbrella 'Too named Jazmin and a Sun Conure named Nike. My husband and I also have a bird sitting business of 16 yrs. We have worked for breeders, given seminars and couldn't think of our lives without these special creatures in them.
