Is there a law that says how many cats can one person have in a household?

I think that one 4 or 5 cats should be allowed in one person household. The reason why I said this is because my landlord has 28 cats living with her and can't clean up after these cats. And plus non of these cats have flea collar with make's it bad for my dog Ace because he lives upstairs with us

i agree w/ lily. that many cats there is no way your landlord can't properly take care of them all. especially if there is cat poop everywhere and they have fleas. it's considered neglect.
call the local humane society/SPCA

Jus because your landlord is neglecting her animals doesn't mean other responsible pet owners should be punished. We have 13 cats all of which are healthy and fixed. Talk to your landlord about getting the cats spayed/neutered and finding new homes for most of them... if need be call the humane society for extra help.

28 flea infested cats is far different from 13 neutered and healthy ones.

The landlord could be a hoarder, which would indicate some mental health issues. Not a good situation and she needs to be turned in.

Also, in the meantime, maybe your vet can recommend a flea prevention treatment like Advantage/Frontline. That way your dog won't pick up fleas from them.

I know I live in warren mi, and I think the limit is 2-3.I'm not sure. Beside my apt does not smell like cat urine or poop. I keep their litter box extremly clean. I can't have my house sinking like cats. And another thing, My cats aren't tearing up anything in our apt. Their all declawed. If I didn't get them declawed I wouln't have anything nice.

It really hurts the cats to have their claws removed. There are better ways to teach your cats not to claw the furniture. This is a very painful process that last a life time, for it hurts everytime your cat walks. Please remember this for next time you decide to declaw your pet, it is like ripping your toes off but leaving the nerves and you are walking on raw nerves.

Declawing is very cruel. There are some cities that have passed ordinances banning the practice. It's barbaric.. amputating a toe. beyond belief.

it all depends on what you do with her if you work with her and retrain her then she won't attack any one but i would be careful because she still rembers what he trained her to do so it'll take alot of work to retrain her.
