It is hard knowning that your baby is sick. You have to think about all the good times you had with her. We all known in the back of our minds that our cats will not live forever. I have 6 cats, I known how you are feeling. I lost the brother to one of my cats, to FIP, when he was a little over a year old. Known that we all understand how you feel.

Just looking for a shoulder so to speak. I adopted my cat Missy(see her in my pics) when she was 10 mos. old. She is now 12 years old. She has never been sick a day in her life, until last week. Her bowel prolasped. She has been in the hospital for a week. They Doctor managed to get the bowel back in place but in doing so discovered a growth that they said was in a very unusal place. I found out last night that the biopsy they did shows cancer. We can bring her home tonight with a lot of meds which I don't mind, but they said that this cancer usually does not respond to chemo. I have done nothing but cry since last night. When I adopted Missy she was very withdrawn. She had been abandoned by previous owners who had to be relocated. She trusted no one. The adoption person tried to talk me out of adopting her saying that she was anti-social. That made me want her more. It took almost a year for her to come around, but I let her call the shots. She soon became my baby. I have no one around here to talk to but my husband and kids, so I thought I'd talk to you cat lovers. I'm sorry this is so long, I just had to talk to someone.
Thanks, Cathy

I lost my beloved tabby cat (Bobby) yesterday to kidney failure. He was 16 years old. I had him euthanized. I adopted him from my local animal shelter when he was a kitten. He spit at me thru the protective glass. I picked him because I figured nobody else would want him. If you are going to adopt a pet, please go to your local animal shelter. The animals there are a special breed. Thanks for the unconditional love Bobby.

Comment by Mari on June 9, 2009 at 9:20am Does anyone know of any farms or large outdoor area homes any where in the us that can foster an agressive 4 year old cat?He is currently working with a feral cat specialist, taking anti anxiety meds for trial, and has been home raised since birth. He is just a little mean. And I think needs an outlet. He loves the outdoors, but his current home is in the city and they are relocating to rent a room, because of economic downfalls. He needs a home that he can roam in the barn and live out his wildcat fantasies but still be protected from weather and be feed daily. He has all his care, shots, altered...and is very healthy house cat. We think he is a wildcat in a house cats body... Anyone know of a foster or rescue or someone willing to give him a home?

Mari, as I've asked you before - please be honest about this cat to people here. No one can help you unless you are. I know your desperate to find him a home, but you need to find him the RIGHT home.

Mari is the REAL owner of this cat and the cat is declawed so it can never live outside to be an outdoor cat. She has posted a different story in other places too.. be warned, if you take this cat, he is an indoor cat, not an outdoor one due to de-clawing.

PLEASE BE HONEST.. putting this cat outside would be his death sentence and it's not fair to not be upfront about this.

Thank you

Sorry, but I find declawing abhorrent and cruel.. there are no excuses for it but to make your life easier and to heck with the pain and suffering your animals must endure.

This is to who put the e-mail about her cats. My babies got fixed and declawed. If I didn't do that I'm like you toren furiture. Lady loves to stect her pads. I know so people thinks it's mean, My cats were only 3lbs. So they had no weight. Bambi and lady were ready to play as soon as the got home
