Ok it is official my cat is nuts about making a mess he turned one last month and well I think it turned on his litter kicking button because. He has started every time he uses the litter pan it takes an hour. And when he is done thank goodness I good sense enough to put a box around it or I would have a pile of litter where my floor should be.

Okay, at least I know I'm not just totally computer challenged and it's happening to others. I'm going to respond to the person sending the message regarding a "cat afraid of the carrier" You can try looking for a natural product called Rescue Remedy. It is sold in most health food stores and can be used on animals. Rub a little in their ear, or under their chin. Just a drop. This has calming effects on both humans and animals. You can also give it to them in their food or water before you take them anywhere. Feliway spray can also help. Put some of this inside the carrier about 20 or 30 minutes before you place them in there. You can also try and make the carrier a less cold and frightening place by maybe getting a little blanket and putting a toy in there. Leave it out and allow her/him to maybe explore it on her own time.

first of all your cat is terrified of the carrier. i suggest not using it. carry it where ever you need to take it.

me too!
About the dry skin, my cat has it too but its not too bad. Its best to ask your Vet... and you might be able to just call or do an office visit. Its worth it. There should be no price tag to our kids with fur.

I have the same problem as Nuria and it's driving me crazy! How do we respond to those messages so we can help people???

Sorry, this might not be the place to post this, but I keep getting messages that are "group" messages. the link on my email notification leads me here to Catsville, but I don't see the message or the person's name who sent it. How does one respond to "group" messages?

To Laura.
For dry skin, begin to brush cat frequently, it will stimulate his/or hers oil glands. Since Ilive in California, when it is very hot & dry, I end my brushing with a weet brush over their coat for moisture. They love it. And, add a little olive to their food.

In reponse to your coment about your aggressive cat, we recently had a question and answer session in our pet magazine with dog trainer Robert Machi of barkbusters. If you can ask a specific questions, we could get it to Rob and have either post is answer here or send a private email.

We are also accepting photo submissions of cats. If you have a unique story we are very interested.

Please email all submissions to petmageditor@gmail.com.

Thanks!
