hi sue, it seems she dose,nt want that poor kitten anymore if you would do something that mean as to abandon it, you need to take it to a shelter where it can have a chance to be adopted, and where it can be well taken cared of, you seem like a very caring person, but you should,nt have to go broke taking care of another cat, it wont do you or the cats any good, contact your local aspca, im sure they will take the kitten, or post ads with pics in vet clinics and shelters to see if anyone wants to adopt it in person. thats what i did with my kittens, i hope that helped in any way.

Hey Everyone.

There is a beautifulllllllllllll, very petite, gray, little girl who needs a home. We definitely know she is a female, but not sure of any age yet. I cannot even begin to describe how friendly and adorable this cat is. She has more personality than 10 doggies combined! She will jump on your lap, nuzzle up to your hand and neck and will not let you stop petting her. Her purrs sound like she is 50lbs, but she can not be more than 7lbs. She is light gray with a white chest and white slippers. She has the most BEAUTIFUL eyes I have seen on a kitty-cat before that her name should be Cleopatra. She has a black little nose and a walk that says "look at me, c'mon, how cute am ?!" She takes 5 steps then turns her head with that look. It is sooo adorable!

I would keep her in a second, I have never seen a more friendly and adorable little girl. In fact, we were talking about rescuing another cat as soon as our dog settled down a bit. Sophie is still a puppy and doesn't leave Chandler (our other cat) alone as it is. Even now with the little girl in the room with the door closed, Sophie is whining to be able to use her as a squeak toy. As much as it kills me and I want to keep her, I don't think this would be the best life for her. She was homeless & coming to my Mom's friend's porch who fed her a little every night, until they told me about her. The thought of her being outside with no warm place to sleep in the rain killed me. Not to mention I didn't want her to become a victim of all the disgusting, must be sick in the head, should get the death-penalty for treating a defenseless thing like that, animal cruelty cases that are on the news today. If you or you know anyone who is interested in parenting the nicest, and one of the prettiest cats in the world, please let me know!!! If anyone wants to meet her, feel free to come by! I guarantee you will fall in the LOVE. she is getting all her shots tomorrow!

Thalia, we bult a close in pen for the cats to go outside but be safe.If you only have one or two even a womand designed a small area one that you can buy as akit, they sell the at lowes and such, about $300 I think?? no sure about that. Also you can buy on line even special fence for cats and looks nice,Cats can't get out others can't get in.Don't know your living situation but maybe one of these would work or from these you may come up with a idea, even if apts. there are some ways for a small are that would give them a chance to get a little fresh air. jc

Thalia, I'm so very sorry to hear about your cat being hit by a car and diying as a result. There is really no way a cat can be an indoor/outdoor cat without risking this same fate. Cats cannot be trained to avoid streets, other animals, or even cruel children. Unless you have a cat-safe enclosure for your next cat, it would be best to make them an indoor kitty. Statistics indicate that the average lifespan of an indoor/outdoor cat is less than 5 years. An indoor cat can live up to 20 years. You will find many members here who will recommend not letting your cat outside simply because of the many dangers. Provide them with lots of toys, ample access to view windows, and even maybe a birdfeeder outside one of the windows for entertainment. They will be happy and healthier.

I just lost my kitty Snowball, she got run over, and I feel really sad about it specially because she was only 3. Since I do plan to get a new kitty, I don't want the same thing to happen again, but I don't want to deprive it from going outside. Snowball was an indoor and outdoor cat, she wouldn't go too far, she would rarely cross the street. Im just wondering is there any way possible to train them? Teach them when it is time to be out and time to come inside? I really want to prevent this accident from happening again but I'm not sure how. If anyone has any advice I would really appreciate it.
