Too much information can be confusing. I’m getting conflicting info on puppies food.

My cocker is now 5 months old. Since almost 2 months I have not given her the Royal Canine ( or Eukanuba etc ) dog food but given her an extremely healthy home diet of rice, pulses, veg, biscuits, bread and milk, boiled meat, eggs, cerelac and wheat.

But now my friends are telling me that dog food has anti sickness and healthy vitamins, minerals and stuff. Someone else told me that the puppies should only be given dry food but when i googled natural dog food recipes i saw soups, broths, chowder ?

ANOTHER QUESTION – My Cocker eats everything in sight. Once she grabbed spicy chicken peri peri and ate it up. Are spices in food harmful for her ? Once she ate up a box of brownies and once I caught her chewing on a bar of chocolate. Sometimes she bites and eats the garbage on the floor. A few hours back i took her for a walk and before i nknew it, she was chewing on some animals old droppings. What medicine do I give her in case she is intaking anything wrong ?

I know she should not eat Sugars, Salts, Fat, Corn what else can you add to this never to eat list.

A healthy dog food that is high in protein, low in carbs, free of fillers, free of by-products is healthy for your dog. A toxicity list is very long these are the basics.

Please only feed premium foods - known to be free of harmful (if not deadly preservatives). Here's an excellent resource for finding the best quality food for your baby: http://www.dogfoodanalysis.com/dog_food_reviews/

we do great with wellness core kibble and we mix in a bit of the wellness core canned too - my franny pants devours it and her digestive system is perfect, her coat is gorgeous and her allergies are non-existant with the grain free formula! good stuff!

xxox,
Good luck with your search!

my apologies. I didn't mean to infer that all allergies are related to yeast. Foods, pollens, molds, (you name it) can be the cause. Nevertheless, were any animal of mine suddenly scratching like crazy, my early check list would be to check for: in…
