Consider it done, Bobbie.. I'm so so sorry for your loss. It's very tragic and I would love to see you give more information about these treats so that others can avoid them too.

Belle:

You signed the petition last week - thanks - Anyway I'll have my daughter (I'm not good
with computers ) download pictures of the treat and provide more information about. it.
If you type in windees-Jones Natural Chews on google it will come up. But thats a great idea
and I'll ask her to help me with it this weekend.

Also, someone whom signed the petition said that she knew of other dogs that this has happened to, so I'm tring to find out if the petition site will let me email her, of if
they can email her for me. ( I don't have peoples emails when they sign )

Thank you for your support and signing the petition, I think, twice 11111111

I'm so sorry to hear about the loss of your dog. It is very important for anyone who is reading this forum, to remember that treats and toys that are given to a dog or cat, needs the owner to supervise, and watch the dog or cat. Even, a toy that you think is durable or made to be durable can loosen. Again, you are in my thoughts and prayers. I always give my dogs sweet potato shaped as fries. However, this week I noticed after giving Cal a potato fry that he was pawing at his mouth. I freaked out and checked Cals mouth, seeing nothing I stepped back and let Cal work it out. How easily, he could of choked. He actually, had it stuck to the side of his mouth. My heart was beating quite fast. Please, owners be aware of all treats and toys.

Thank you so much for you kind reply. Thank God, you were able to get the potato fry out of
Cals's mouth. It's scarey.

Have you signed the peition ? If not would you please sign it, so that this does not happen to another dog.

It was stuck on the side of his mouth, however it did freak me out. I will sign the petition. That warning of staying with your dog with treats and toys weren't for you but just to remind others how quickly it can happen. Obviously, sweet potato treats are digestible, however they are a choking hazard. I even broke up the pieces. He hasn't choked before, my dogs are commanded to leave their food and take a break so they do not gobble down their food or treats. What is he trying to do give me more gray hairs?

I am very sorry for the loss of your beloved dog. Each animal that I have that passes away, I mourn for a very long time. It may get easier but I will never forget the animals that I have had. I don't know about you, but I certainly do some kind of memorial placed in the house.
I have a new ornament placed on my Christmas tree, when an animal has passed with the animals picture on it. I have a scrap book of all the funny and cute things each of them had done good or bad actually. I find naughty things to be a bit funny. Like the time, I was marinating a steak for Mothers day. My dog Benji, who was an exceptionally well behaved dog, couldn't resist the smell and leaped up on a very high counter and sunk his teeth in the meat, I said " Benji" in a very low voice. It then slinked off, my mom came in "What did you say dear" I was embarassed to tell her the dog made tooth marks in her steak and I had already washed the steak off. I hated meat and didn't eat a bit but looked guilty as she ate the first bite she enjoyed it, claiming that the flavor and tenderness was wonderful. I have a favorite toy of theirs, and a lock of hair. It may sound wierd, but an animal should not be forgotten.
It will get easier for you I promise. God bless you dear. May you sleep in peace tonight. I say tonight, but it is actually 12:36 in the morning and still going strong. What is a wrong with me? I thought when you age you are supposed to become more tired earlier, at least that is what Cassy says.
