When i watched that clip i cried but when u buy dogs from puppie milles and take them to the aspca or the vet ur doing them a HUGE favor you'll help them make them well again not being forced into tiny cages but in your warm arms that they sure want to be in! But that dog or maybe even cat, the one you fell in love with, the one u want to save, u can save the ENTIRE life. Now isnt that what u want to do or do u want them to die suffering, never seeing life?Think about it. thin if that was u!

When i watched that clip you made up there all about those poor iniciont dogs it made me want to cry. Who would want to do that to poor animals, i dont want to know what happens and they cant breed anymore, Tyson (the dog as my picture) I dont own him, but i have his picture out of twenty six other dogs on the wellington spca website. And thats because Tyson was treated like a toy, then he was saved from the spca, then he was adopted to a caring loving home, where he will live and probaly (when really old!) die. I just wonder why do the people who run puppy mills, want to ruin the all those dogs life, and not let the animals get the care and love that is needed, and how can they live through animals every single day of there lives, what do the think, that if the female dies its because of natural cause, will its not. If you look at those animals they would be so lucky if they even got feed properly, and walked propely, and most of all loved properly. Some of the animals from puppy mills get saved by aspca agents. But even if they are saved, most die because of lack of higein, effection, aggresion. Some do succesed and go and do a test to see if their good to be in a home, but most of all what happens to the dogs when their saved is, their to scared to do anything, because its all new. And thats sad when in dog years their like 40yrs or even older or even younger. So sad!

Puppy mills are a lot like slave labor. IF people didn't buy them, people wouldn't produce them for sale. I find most advocates for or against, seldom take the road most productive but rather the easiest one. I do find it insulting (breeder) to be assoiated in the same grouping as puppy mills. We have three animals taken in from abusive families, but also have ch bloodline dogs that can't be found at the humane society.

hey everyone, i am really new to this site and i would really like to have some friends that can help me out. i am doing my senior project on awareness of puppy mills. i want to spread the word and bring people into the knowledge of what occurs at puppy mills and the fact that the circumstances the puppies are born into should be changed. if anyone has eny information that can help me then please comment or message me and we can talk about this. It would be a tremendous help to me and it will help to spread the word to people. Please help me to spread the word. Hopefully we can become friends in the process. Thank you so very much. Sammie

I have had two bad experiences with pet shop animals, before I knew better and this was 35 yrs. ago. My mom bought a Fox Wired Terrier for me, and come to find out she had contracted distemper prior to her being taken to the pet shop. We never intended on breeding her (my mom used to breed siamese cats, but @ this time she got out if the business), we always fixed our animals. My poor dog, Tobie had the shakes in her front legs when she sat and had really bad yellow teeth. She died prematurly from pheumonia, she was a great dog!!. Then my mom bought me a black (part siamese cat) who when I got him home he had diarrea so bad we almost had to put him down. But after I begged my mom to keep him one more night and if he hadn't improved, we would put him out of his misery, the next day. But, he was a fighter and he had greatly improved the next morning. I had him for another 16 yrs. The VET said the cat should have died, the only reason he lived was the TLC me and my Mom gave him.
My point is, I learned the hard way, and after that every animal I have recieved has been from a friend or shelter. My 9 yr. old Rottie is a prue breed, from a friend with two breeding Rotties. She gave us the pick of the litter, we picked the biggest(of course) and he is a 120lb. licking/loving machine. One of my cats, a female found me at home, hanging around a desk I put out for pick up. There are enough wonderful animals at shelters, pounds, neighbors or breeders if you want a pure breed, just do not to go to a Pet Shop. In fact I see no need really for Pet Shops, we now have Pet Smart and othe places. Fish ok, sometimes, as long as they do not come from South America, same with birds.
Puppy Mills are for ingnorant, stupid, lazy, selfish idividuals. They prey on the weakest and trusting of living things. I am a firm believer that God will hold all who abuses any living thing. We may not catch all of the abusers of animals and children, but in the next life, these folks will answer for their actions, and will will get what they deserve, and then some!!!

To ANY one who is thinking about buying a puppy from a pet store. Our Duchess was used for breeding at a puppy mill is Missouri. When we adopted her, she was afraid of human voice, the wind blowing her fur, she was so afraid of human touch she would fall to the floor and release her bladder and bowels if I touched her! We had to walk her before the sun came up and after the sun went down. I could go on and on but I think you get the picture. Once she was rescued from NISA (North American Samoyed Asst) it was discovered that she has a serious Grade 4/6 pansystolic murmur and affected with Subbaortic Stenosis. I have never seen a Sammy sell for less than $800.00. I doubt that many of her pups are still alive. Puppy mills - there is no adjective for the cruelty and mental torture living creatures endure. We have got to educate the public about puppy mills, and spaying/neuterering. We have to prosecute the owners, make them responsible for their actions. Puppy mills breed for the love of money NOT for love of the breed. We never re-named Duchess. Because Duchess will live the life of a Duchess for as long as the good Lord allows us to keep her. Thank you for allowing me to be a member of this group. One can do nothing, many can do ANYTHING.

We only rescue...I and my family are firm believers is saving lives. All of our babies are spayed and neutered. There are enough unwanted and unloved little ones out there.

The best thing to do is go to their breeding facility...a responsible breeder will encourage you to come out see where the puppies are born and raised and meet/interact with the parents. Their facility should be clean and the dogs should be kept in a clean manner and in healthy conditions (not living in small cages filled with thier own poo/pee). The puppies should be born healthy, and cared for by a vet regularly. Ask who their vet is and contact them, ask questions! And they shouldn't have a large breeding stock! Commercial breeders have large breeding stocks and poor conditions (most times).

Hey, my friend was going to get a Betta fish. Where should she get it from? Like, you know, instead of Petsmart, Petland, and other Pet Stores. Thanks, bye.

i refuse to buy dogs. i hate breeders and puppy mills. i only adopt animals from the pound or rescue centers and it pisses me off when people are like selling puppies by walmart or like one of my friends buy some 3,000 dollar shitzu when they couldve gotten a shitzu just as good from a shelter
