This is horrible! How heartless can you be to destroy innocent animals on the account of a few heartless, ignorant humans, who train their dogs to be vicious! Now the innocent must pay for the guilty? This is wrong wrong wrong!!!!!

If the public and legislators spent the time and money into searching out irresponsible dog owners as they do in trying to enforce BSL we would not have any reports of dogs attacking people/animals. It is absolutely crazy!

Oh, I thought I should also send out a real invite to the real live group Families Against Breed Bans and our current website is www.FABBSeattle.com though we are in the process of having a new website designed.

The public support we have since forming FABB has been overwhelming and we now have just under 300 members from all over the US. You are all more than welcome to come and check us out and join our official group. We are still using our meetup.com site to enlist members, post future events and use the message boards for discussions. You can find us through the join FABB link on our website or go here http://apbt.meetup.com/253/

We just had our first FABB event at the Humane Society Dog-a-thon in Lakewood, WA. What a fabulous event! We were able to meet lots of wonderful people, some of whom owned dogs often targeted by BSL and loved what FABB are doing; those who had no idea what BSL was or that it even existed and were happy for the information; those like minded individuals that were were fighting against BSL in some capacity and/or helping rehome dogs targeted by it; those people who had contacts or future events that could be of assistance to FABB in fighting BSL and getting the word out, and we even met one person who believed in BSL and the myths perpetuated by the media, in spite of the facts we presented stating otherwise. It was a great day and thanks to the FABB members for all the help in making this event so awesome. Oh, and thanks to my 4 legged baby Zack for enduring such a busy event and who is now getting some much needed rest.

Hi all,

I really enjoy reading all the comments and input about what you are doing to fight BSL and protect all the targeted breeds. Keep up the good work!

My Zoe passed her CGC test last night and her mummy is very proud. This may not be directly related to BSL but having a CGC cerficate can certainly help in some counties that have legislated BSL, who will accept a termed 'dangerous dog' if it has a CGC.

Hey Everyone! Here is a link, all you do is type in your state and your zip code, it will pull up your state's representative. It also has links to many, many other resources and contacts (like the Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi). It's a very useful tool if you want to know who your reps are or contact other 'higher up' members of congress.

I have been doing a lot of writing, to my own reps and to the Oklahoma Rep & the Ohio Rep, both have proposals to ban Pit Bull's in their states. There is more info on my blog and also in the group Animal Cruelty Petitions.
I hope this info is as helpful to others as it has been for me.

Whilst I don't have a Pitbull, I have a Shepherd and the same legislation is being imposed on them. I support anyone who fights this ridiculous legislation

Update-Sampson went to the vet today and he confirmed that he is a pit bull mix. While he is not full blooded, this has opened my eyes to what is happening to pit bulls. I love Sam and could not imagine "banning him". The ideas makes me sick!
