I have a pitbull mix and she is wonderful. I am a firm believer in there is NEVER a bad dog just a bad person. Bad people breed bad people, so why can't we put them down?

Thanks "Love Thy Pitbull". Looks like a good site. BSL is like racial discrimination against dogs and paranoid fanatics who push for it should be ashamed of themselves!

Hello, my name is Sherri. I live in a home with three ISSR Shiloh Shepherds. Shilohs are a rare breed of dog still under development. They are all still on the young side as two are just barely 11 months and one is 16 months. Our girls are all still in training. The oldest is in training to be my mobility service dog and she is doing amazingly well for her young age.

The buff colored girl is starting S&R training this fall as well as Rally-o and the other girl is in confirmation for show and Therapy dog training, but most of all they are our big babies. We hope to add one more baby to our pack in December a little boy to complete us, but we are waiting for the perfect genetic match for our girls.
I look forward to getting to know everyone. My mail is always open so drop me a note any time.

Pit bulls are only the most recent dog for those with a fear of dogs. German shepherds and Dobermans (and probably others) have also been targeted.
Growing up my family always had cats. Periodically, we had a dog for a short period and it never worked out due to lack of proper training of THE KIDS by THE PARENTS about how to care for, exercise, etc. the dog. Consequently, I learned to fear dogs some, then when I married my husband had, YIKES!, Dobermans.
We now have our third Miniature Pinscher in over 30 years of marriage and ours have been dominant to the point of "aggression", but it's all show.
I was attacked by a Rottie once and she was out to kill me but when the owner offered to have her put down the tears flowed as I cried out "NO". Then at the clinic I told them that if they asked I wouldn't tell them who the dog was because I knew she'd had her shots.
People without dogs just don't "get" them.
My husband has the opposite problem. He was clawed up very badly by a cat when he was a kid and now hates/fears cats.
Anyway, I joined this group to give my support to any breed that dog-haters choose to ID as their "bad breed du joir".

Ed--- I was asking about House Bill 568. It will ban all pit bulls and seize/euthanize all existing pit bulls in the state of Ohio.
