Now for the big surprise!

We do not often show Mali for a couple of reasons. Mali is a big clown in the ring. She just never wants to settle down, to her it all seems like a big game of catch the other dog. We decided since Fred Lanting was going to be the Judge we would not pass up a chance to show her, as we wanted his opinion of her since we plan to breed her soon.

The second reason is in our breed standard her beautiful white face is a point off the moment she steps into the ring. So with her puppy like behavior and her sweet face it ends quiet quickly for our girl.

Mali fooled everyone and was amazing. Her flying trot was stunning, she got a blue ribbon, and then another and another. It was a whirlwind of blues and came to a stop with a cheering crowd and Mali going into the ring against the champions.

Mali is a black and cream, smooth coat ISSR Shiloh Shepherd and is 22 months old. She is seen in this picture with my husband Steve and Fred Lanting. She took Best of Breed. Yes she went up against the Champions and did not get Best of Show... but there is always next time... as Mali has proved she wants to show!

Two weekends ago we took Rani to a dog show where Fred Lanting was the Judge. Some of you may know him as Mr. GSD. He put Rani center ring as he examined her and at last spoke to the crowd pronouncing her to the crowd saying, "Now this is what a Shilohs Shepherd Bitch is supposed to look like." I nearly fell out of my wheel chair.

Rani is 14 months old, a dark brown sable plush coat, ISSR Shiloh Shepherd and in the picture she is with my husband Steve and Fred Lanting; she took Best of Winners.

hello all how are you i came across a memeber of a group who needs help there is a sheperd mix that just a phone call or email can help here is her story! and picture of the cute 3 month old puppy:(Original Message from A Fellow Activist!
I am writing this email with a heavy heart. My friend and I got hooked
up with some wonderful ladies down in NC. These ladies are working very
hard to help save animals from the Gaston Shelter in Dallas, NC. We have
pulled a couple of dogs from there and think they are wonderful, we
adopted out a golden on the day he came up and now have Max who we are
trying to adopt out, but he is saved, cleaned, and learning all the
basic manners to be a good house dog. Upon speaking with these ladies
they showed us some other dogs that were going to be put down and we
decided to help save them. Attached is a picture of Kennan - Kennan a 3
month old Shep mix was on hold for us - but was PTS anyway. Apparently
this is how the shelter runs - not only have they put Dogs to sleep that
were on hold but they gas them and severely neglect them as well. Upon
being urged by an associate to find out more information about this
shelter and who to complain to I have heard that numerous attempts to
complain about this shelter have gone on deaf ears. I then discussed
this issue with my father who suggested the Attorney General of NC - so
I decided to make some calls. In the end after being transferred a
million times I found out that the best office to contact is the
department of Agriculture Animal welfare department. I wrote an email
this morning to them explaining my disgust with this shelter and hope
and pray that many do the same so that the person who is in charge of
Euthing these dogs will be held responsible.

Here is the email - please attach Kennan's picture to the emails you
send - let them see the face of a dog who had a home but is now in the
arms of St. Francis. This has to end!

I use PROMERIS FOR DOGS for flea and tick control for my dogs. First because it works good at controlling these two pests and second because it works well at controlling another pest which has plagued some of our dogs DEMODECTIC MANGE.

Here is a video of our rescue, Axel. I was only gone for 15 minutes and said to my husband, "Keep an eye on him and make sure he stays out of trouble." My husband is not a reliable dog sitter.. LOL

Sargeant's straight back makes me think he may be from working blood lines, some of his other traits make me think German. I will never know, but that is fine with me, he could be Mars bloodline for all I care. He is a healthy, happy, loving guy and that is all I need.
