I"m helping because all animals need a chance in life they don"t belong getting hurt like people do 2 them they need love 2 & someone 2 care about them & support them in there life all animals are important god gave us them for a reason {{{NOT 2 HURT THEM}}} 2 love them & treat them right.........

Awwww! She is a beautiful baby! I will pray that you will be able to adopt her! I'll bet she has a heart bigger than the whole country! = ) Much luck on your apartment search!

Janice, I know what you mean! They have a beautiful dog by the name of Capri in their Westhampton location who has yet to find a loving home because she has no eyes and no one will take her in! =[ I wrote Bideawee and told them I was very interested in adopting her, but as soon as I get a place of my own! Now the struggle for the apartment search has started, hopefully by the end of the summer I'll have my own little place where I can take Capri in and give her all of the love in the world!

I just read about that shelter from the link you posted, and the short note about Bailey, the 12-yr old cat, just breaks my heart! I wish I lived close by; I'd take that little lady in a heartbeat! The shelter employees said she was sad and lonely, which I'm sure alot of the animals are. I just pray that she gets a good, loving home!

Hey guys! Bideawee (a no-kill animal shelter with 3 locations - NYC, Westhampton and Wantagh) is closing their Wantagh location due to the economy. They have 7 dogs (3 of them being pitbulls or mixed pitties) that need to be adopted ASAP!

Apparently the animals that do not get adopted from this location will be sent to other shelters and may be euthanized (I heard that from an animal advocate friend on Myspace.)

I know that this is not part of this group, but I love Bideawee and am trying to save as many of these babies as I can! They also have 26 cats and 3 kitties that need to be adopted as well.

If you would like to go in person to Bideawee (apparently they have more animals who's pictures are not on the website) their location is:

I do know about goats milk but I didn't know that it had all the antibodies in it to save a newborn puppy. My son had to have goats milk. No the vet didn't tell me anything if they had I wouldn't have gotten the shots until he was older and stronger. As far as the formula goes that was what I was feeding him and it doesn't have the same stuff (colostrum) in it that comes from a mothers first milk, that they have not been able to replace. Also I want to thank everyone that has posted a comment.
