This one is so important, please do this one ASAP. If you dont have time to call, then at least do the auto email at the link below.

HSUS Action: Help Save Wild Horses and Burros

America’s wild horses were protected from slaughter for 33 years, until a 2004 midnight rider to the omnibus budget bill. Hundreds have already been sold to slaughter and turned into European entrées. Foreign-owned horse slaughterhouses in the United States have been shut down by court order, but thousands of American horses are still being trucked over the border for slaughter in Mexico and Canada.

TAKE ACTION
Please call your U.S. Representative to urge support for H.R. 1018 to protect our nation's wild horses and burros. You can reach your U.S. Representative through the Capitol switchboard at 202-224-3121 or click here to look up your Representative and the office phone number.

After you make your call, fill in and submit the form on the right to automatically send a follow-up email to your U.S. Representative in support of wild horse protection. Congress receives a lot of email so it is very important that you edit the subject line and the message below with your words so that your message will stand out and have more impact.

HSUS Action: Save America's horses -- Ask Congress to act on horse slaughter

The time to act is now to keep America's horses out of foreign slaughterhouses.

The Prevention of Equine Cruelty Act (H.R. 503/S. 727) will put a stop to this brutal practice by ending the slaughter of
American horses for human consumption and preventing their export for slaughter in other countries.

Please join me and urge your U.S. Representative and two U.S. Senators to co-sponsor the Prevention of Equine Cruelty Act (H.R. 503/S. 727). Here is the link:

'IDAHO' was the name of DEBBI METCALF'S MARE. DEBI formed Stolen Horse, International, determined to find her stolen mare 'Idaho'. She found her, 3 years later, after continual networking on the internet, putting up bulletins about her stolen horse 'IDAHO' until Idaho was found....

A stolen horse could be a long distance in a short time period. Please pass this to your associations, list groups, council members, friends, stalbes and tack shops, feed stores, veterinaries, farriers, horse dealers, feedlots and horse auctions and ask them to do the same. You can also help out by posting a lost and found ad in places like Craigslist, Livedeal.com and other free ad services.

Thank you very much for your generosity in helping these victims. As a victim myself, I know what it is like to have "been there and done that." Stolen Horse International is an organization whose purpose is to help those who have been a victim of theft and related crimes. Through NetPosse.com, I have traveled across the country educating the public about horse identification, the steps to take to prevent horse theft and the immediate plan of action to take if you are an unfortunate victim.
