Since the info I posted on how to help the wild horses was really so long... I am breaking it down some so that if you don't have a lot of time, you can just do one at a time.
This one is really easy. Just write what you think in the form on this link and send.
If you need some talking points, you can visit the site at the bottom, thanks!

Today's action:
Do not hesitate to let Bureau of Land Management officials know how you feel about their removal policy. Denounce the continued mismanagement of our wild horses and request an in-the-wild management program.
Contact Dirk Kempthorne, Secretary of the Interior, Department of the Interior, 1849 C Street, N.W., Washington DC 20240

the BLM was supposed to be using a contraceptive method that has been used in wildlife before... they were to be doing that with the HSUS:
A 1982 National Academy of Sciences report urged the BLM to use PZP immuno contraception (PZP), finding it to be an effective and proactive method for managing horse populations. A 2004 Interior Report by the US Geological Survey found PZP reduced the overall costs of wild horse management. In 2006, the BLM signed a MemorandumofAgreementwiththe Humane Society ofUnitedStatestobeginworking together on promoting PZP.
We can maintain these horses in the US. What is happening is that cattle ranchers pressure the BLM to get rid of them. An ex employee from the BLM left after he saw how they were taking so many horses off of the land and he said the reasons they give for that are bogus, and he is not the only one. Its back room politics. for more info, check out the links in the discussion.

URGENT: NEVADA'S WILD HORSES TO BE EUTHANIZED IN A CRUEL MANNOR... AND THEY SHOULD BE BACK ON OUR PUBLIC LANDS! THEY NEED YOUR VOICE... PLEASE HELP:
These horses are being taken off of public lands not because of the reasons they are citing, but to get them off of the land under pressure from cattle ranchers. They plan to kill them using either overdoses of barbituates, a bullet to the head, or a prod to the head like they use on cattle. This is horrible. I have lived in this area for 22 years and have seen their numbers dwindle. This is so dear to my heart and to anyone who cares about the wild horses... majestic animals...a national treasure!!

What you can do now:
Please also contact your US Representative, two US Senators
To locate your US Representative and two US Senators, visit www.congress.org and enter your zip code.

BLM has set up a web-page for the public to comment. While we are under no illusion that they have any interest in the American public’s wishes, you may give them a piece of your mind by calling 202-208-7351 or by following this link: http://www.blm.gov/wo/st/en/prog/wild_horse_and_burro/feedback.html
more to do:
Alert Oprah Winfrey to this tragedy. She needs to hear from thousands of us urging her to feature our wild horses, American icons, on her show:
https://www.oprah.com/plugger/templates/BeOnTheShow.jhtml?action=respond&plugId=B2100004
CNN’s Anderson Cooper should be urged to investigate the matter:
http://www.cnn.com/feedback/forms/form11b.html?1
Please also contact your US Representative, two US Senators, and Rep. Nick Rahall, Chairman of the House Natural Resources Committee, noted above.

This here is Buddy. He came to us when the boarder who was using our barn decided he didn't have the time for him. It was our dream come true of retiring and moving into the country, BUT we were green horns. After being knocked down, bitten and the fear set in, Hubby and I realized we couldn't get over what was set in. So, to give Buddy the best of life. We found someone that would take him and love him , very lucky But there are times I wish we would have done more to keep him and learned what we could...
