This is a plea to help raise the funds needed to pay for Teddy's Head Surgery. Teddy is a 12 yr. old rescued Tennesse walking horse. His previous owner is at fault for his injury. Teddy's injury is a result of being put in a horse trailer and not being properly secured in. As his previous owner turned a curve the tailer door slid open and scared him which caused him to jump out of a moving trailer. Teddy's wound consists of him shattering his pole on the top of his skull. After that Teddy was never taken to the vet to get his wound checked out. I (Roxanne) recused him a year ago and have been working very hard to get his wound to heal. During the healing process and my hard work I have had my own emergency sugergies to deal with which has made it extremely hard for me to pay for all of Teddy's surgery expenses. Teddy's surgery was on March 16, 2009 they removed four pieces of framented bone, puss tract and scar tissue off the top of his head. He came out of recovery and his doing very well. I still have not been able to bring him home due to the vet wanting to keep an eye on his healing process.
I am pleading for assistance in helping to cover the cost of the surgery, totaling in $1500.00.
Donations can also be called/mailed in directly to the veterinarian's office:
