If there is poison ivy in your backyard, will it hurt your dog in any way when they are out there playing?

Aileen,

Usually the dog's hair coat protects them from the toxic oils in poison ivy. However, the oils can remain on the coat and you can get poison ivy from them (which is how my dog gave me poison ivy!).
