I just wanted to remind everyone about the dangers of antifreeze. My friend just lost her beloved German Shepard yesterday, becuase he got into some antifreeze. Apparantly the antifreeze was knocked off of a shelf in her garage, and spilled/broke open. She had no idea that her dog lapped it up, and the next morning, he started acting very stangely. He was foaming at the mouth and fell down a flight of stairs. She took him to the vet, and they knew exactly what was wrong. they told her to go home and find out if it was ether (sp?) or another kind, becuase one makes them sick but they will probably live, the other kills them indefinitely. It was the deadly one. So her puppy, 2 years old, which she took the care of taking him to "puppy daycare" when she had to work, is now gone. So please please please, lock antifreeze away somewhere that it can't be knocked down, so this doesn't happen to another pet. Antifreeze has a very sweet taste which makes it very appealing to a puppy, or kitten. Be aware, and save your pet!
