I would like to know how to get a kill shelter changed to a no kill shelter. We euthanize way too many animals where I live. It breaks my heart to hear about all these innocent babies dying just because they were born.
I want to make a difference before I leave but just do not know how to get started and I get very upset about it.
It is so easy to be against a kill shelter, but I feel you must take a stand and do something!
If it either by adopting a pet, finding permanent homes, makes sure all pets are neutered.
There are so may strays on the streets, in shelters, open your eyes, and take a stand by making an effort to change the lives of hopeless animals.

I've done plenty. You don't know me and have no idea what I've done. Just for starters I did TNR for a colony of over 50 my irresponsible feeder/breeder neighbor allowed to happen. This took months and staying up all night plenty of nights. I took a job with crappy hours and much less pay so I could work from home and keep an eye on them since the dogs would prey on them at night. I rescued 16 of those and either found good homes for them or gave them a good home. All in all over 50 were spayed and neutered. I have almost gone bankrupt feeding them. Then they started dying from poison pet food and I grieved for them so their little short lives could be acknowledged. I lost 5 of mine and I still grieve for them. I have 9 now and I still feed over a dozen of the ferals. I have managed to socialize 6 of the ferals. It has been going on 3 years now. I give them protection from the rain and the cold.
You might want to know the full story before you reply to something and I do not see that your reply answers my question anyway.
