My 13 month old german shepherd is constantly iching & biting himself. He does not have any bald spots from it, but he has scabs from scratching until he bleeds. He even has to stop playing to bite his back or to scratch. I heard flaxseed oil or b complex vitamins would help for dry skin. Have you any other suggestions?

This is not a Winter Pet tip, but I have time! You must get your dog to the vet. The causes for your GSD's discomfort include fleas, mange, infection, and allergies. Supplements are not going to do the job alone. Your pet is eating himself! If he's this itchy, theres a cause and there is a solution. See your vet!
