A neighbors dog.
On the other side of the back my house the people own three dogs.
Two small ones always inside and a larger one in the yard. These people have not the slightest bit of humanity. The yard dog is so beautiful. She is brown and has very short hair. She is out there with no protection 24/7. In the beating Florida sun, rain or whatever.
She has a plastic dog hose with nothing to lie on and very open so I know water gets in there when it rains. They never come out to talk to her or pet her. She never has fresh water, they have a water feeder that is always empty. I never see them feed her either. She's become very aggresive. I go over to the fence and give her water from my hose which she runs to drink. I throw doggie bones and food over the fence and she goes crazy eating them. I have confronted them on various occasions to let them know how stressed out this dog is only to hear in not so may words mind-your-own-business. In my county the animal services leave a lot to be desired, plus you never know how people like this react to the person who places the complaint, this I definitley worry about. I don't know how long it will be before this dog will go crazy or evently get sick from lonliness.
Even if I make a complaint anonymous they will know it's me, and the investigating persion will find her ok because I have been feeding her and they will get the credit. I just can't stand back and not give her water or food knowing her situation. Please advise what can I do that
won't hurt me in the end?
