Dog shot by cop for now reason in front of 14yr old child and left behind puppies

Hi anna. My name is Karen and I watch animal precindt everynight of the week that it is on. I love that show but i cannot believe the way people treat their animals. They are suppose to be part of their families and you are to love them, not abuse them. On the petition site, I have started a petition with the above caption. Is it positition for you and the precindt to sign the petition, it was a terrible thing that happened for no reason and justice should prevail to this family and the daughter and especially the dog. Thanks Karen from Illinois and "Thank You" for doing everything that you do for the animals, you are great and "The Best."

I have meet so many wonderful people here on this site,it is what help's me to keep pushing this issue.I can't let go,It has affected all of us but my daughter that witnessed this is taking it hardest,she doesn't trust anyone in uniform and i don't want her to feel she can't turn to the law if ever she need's to(my fear is someday she may need to get help from a officer and want call them because of this,I am taking her for help threw the mental health,but she still feel's the same.
Our biggest problem is the Department want investigate it and wrote her up as a stray.When i spoke with the sheriff he said if Sally bite his officer then she bite him,but you can look at the picture's they were taken by me 40 minute's to a hour after he shot her with a 40 cail. pistol.Please Help.

OMG - I am so sorry for your loss - this is pure abuse of power!!!!!!! I saw the pics - care to relay where the 'bite' is???? I see nothing. I, too am a victim of a dog bite - to the face (many moons ago)----did I shoot the dog? did I beat the dog? NO!!!! I went to the ER, had my face sewed up and grew up with a love (and respect) for animals.
If it helps - your daughter will get thru this - it may take years - but she will. I was 6 at that time - I am 50 now. I have never forgotten it but I learned from it. It's not the same thing I know - even at my age I don't think I would be able to overcome my thoughts of police if it had been one of my pets. But children are more resiliant than we give them credit for. Keep up the therapy and keep re-iterating it - for her - that not all cops are this assinine.
This cop should be fired immediately and then taken to trial - as any other abuser would be if caught. I am signing the petition and will be re-posting it. I am a care2 member and I know we can reach the quota.
All the legalities aside.........my heart goes out to you at this time of loss. It is never easy and I will keep you in my prayers.

Hi Karen I am Ayla and I agree with you. I will be willingly to also sign the petition that you have. I understand how you feel. I see people every day treating animals poorly. I try to help, but in Bowling Green, KY there isnt much I can do without a law enforcement.
