Hi,

I have been inspired to write a novel in the hopes that it will draw attention to the sobering reality of animal cruelty, but I was wondering (and I understand that this is a pretty deep question) if you knew whether or not domestic animals are often involved in cruel acts (like fighting) that are connected to drug trafficking? It's a plot point, but I certainly don't want to misrepresent the animal cruelty investigator(s) job if it's not true. Thank you for your help, if you're able to offer it. I wish you and your team continued success to make this world safer for our animals.

I wrote a 33 page thesis my senior year in college on Animal cruelty and how it effects and ties into all other apsects of crime, domestic violence, serial killers, ect. It was very interesting. have my bachelors in Criminal Justice, when I first started my degree, i wanted to be an animal cop!! We don't really have programs like that around my area, and i love working with kids too, so i am working with at risk teens, but i have always studied this area... good luck with your book

Thanks Nicole! If you know anything specific with those ties and effects, I welcome the help. My main concern is having the idea sound plausible while not straying TOO far from reality. My dear friend is really wanting to be an animal cop herself, too. :-)
