well i agree with mostly everybody said here so far i feel much better that an abundance amount of people feel the same way i do. RIka i agree so much and why dont people see that animals have every single feeling a human being does like DEATH! but the saddest part is some people dont understand and LINDA they are excuses for human beings. On the news you see 2 people killed in car crash (ect.) but what happens when someone kills your animal (like mine). God made every animal, he pictures them all the same cat and dog, same dolphin and wolf, same. dog, human, same, why dont people understand this, because there to "buisy" to go out and do something good for once in their life. And i hope that they get help, before its to late.

Stray Pit Bull Saves Woman, Child from Attacker

PORT CHARLOTTE, Fla. -- The wandering 65-pound Pit Bull mix might have seemed menacing to some passerby, but one woman will always remember him as her "guardian angel."

The dog, which authorities think is lost and not a stray, successfully thwarted a robbery attack on a mother and her 2-year-old son, who were held at knifepoint Monday afternoon.

The Florida woman, who has been identified by authorities simply as "Angela," was leaving a playground with her toddler son in Port Charlotte when a man approached her in the parking lot with a knife and told her not to make any noise or sudden movements.

Angela didn't have to do either to protect herself and her child -- a dog mysteriously ran to the scene and charged the man, who quickly fled.

"I don't think the dog physically attacked the man, but he went at him and was showing signs of aggression, just baring his teeth and growling and barking. It was clear he was trying to defend this woman," Animal Control Lt. Brian Jones told Pet Pulse.

"I don't know what this man's intentions were, but it is very possible this dog saved her life."

The exceptional part of the story, Jones said, is that the dog had never met or even seen the people it quickly jumped to defend.

"You hear about family dogs protecting their owners, but this dog had nothing to do with this woman or her kid," Jones said. "He was like her guardian angel."

After the alleged thief ran away, Angela quickly placed her son, Jordan, in the car and tried to drive off. Before she could, though, the dog jumped into her backseat, waiting with her for the police and animal control officers to arrive at the scene.

The dog was transported to a local shelter and if his owners don't step forward within five days, Jones said, Angela and her family plan to adopt the savior she named "Angel."

Animal control officers and shelter workers believe Angel is lost, and not a stray, because of his good health, sturdy weight and mild temperament.

"It's funny, that someone's irresponsibility could have saved someone's life," Jones said of Angel's possible owners.

For Angela, it doesn't matter where the dog came from, just that he was there when she needed him most.

"I don't know what his [the thief's] intentions were -- I don't know why he did it, but I'm glad that -- we call him Angel -- I'm glad that Angel showed up because I don't know what would have happened," Angela told NBC2 News.

I remember when I first heard about this oh how disgusted I was but it wasn't till I was in my criminal justice class we talked about him.
My teacher asked my fellow peers about what they thought should happen to him for his crime. They laughed. I couldn't believe it.
"There just animals who cares?!"
"Just dumb dogs."
"Man, give a brother a break! He needed to take his anger out on something!"

These are just a few of the comments they made which hurt me so deeply. Just animals? I think the only 'animal' is Michael Vick!
How could you do that! I mean really, calling your homies over to your house, "Hey im bored wanna fight, torture and kill my dogs?"
Thats how I see it. SICK!
I don't wish death upon him but I would like to see him thrown into jail and stay in there for as long as time remains. Death is too easy for anything thats why I really don't believe in the death penalty. The reason is that its too good for people. Let the rot in a jail hell hole and think about why they are there. Unless they are truly crazy like Ted Bundy then they can just inject that sucker. -_-;
True he isn't allowed to be a football player anymore but still thats not the point and thats not the only justice that should be givin.
How about a nice A** kicking and a forever jail sentence? Heh, that would be great wouldn't it.

I feel bad for the people who don't understand that animals can feel, hurt and suffer as well. And when they die it IS a big deal. Still murder, different species. Pure ignorance and cruelty; people like him will never understand the pain those dogs went through...and for what? To please him and get the praise they think they deserve when they do good. Or its good in their eyes because their owner wouldn't ever do something to hurt like that!
Thats the only bad things about dogs, they truly are mans best friend for the simple reason that no matter what you to them they will ALWAYS love you. Sad but true my friends, sad but true.

I hope this man pays for ever ........ KARMA IS A B_ _ _ H !
Poor excuse for a human being. This only proves that he has no heart and has no concious, he is like a criminal from the beginning. I think it was his up bringing, no education and love in his household.
