I wrote a letter to Obama outlining animal abuse, cruelty and environmental issues. I've created a petition for it which I will send once I've gotten 100,000 signatures. Only 4 days left-- Please vote and help the Puppies!!!

Just the other day, Change. org opened voting for the final round of the Ideas for Change in America competition. The top three rated ideas from each of the nearly 30 issue categories qualified for the final round.

Thanks to everyone who voted, the idea not only made the cut, but it had the most votes out of any idea in the Animal category!


The final round of voting ends in a week and the top 10 rated ideas will be presented to the Obama administration. If you all want to see the Puppy Uniform Protection Statute in the top 10, you have to vote for it by Jan 15th. We are a couple thousand votes behind the top ideas, but I have no doubt we can catch up! Cast your final round vote now and then get 5-10 friends to do the same.

Please take a step towards change and vote!!!

I'm not sure if you've heard, but there's a movement of citizens inspired by the presidential campaign who are now submitting ideas for how they think the Obama Administration should change America. It's called "Ideas for Change in America."

One idea is titled: Pass the Puppy Uniform Protection Statute to Help Stop Puppy Mills. I thought you might be interested in getting involved and recommend you check it out. You can read more and vote for the idea by clicking the following link:

The top 10 ideas are going to be presented to the Obama Administration on Inauguration Day and will be supported by a national lobbying campaign run by Change.org, MySpace, and more than a dozen leading nonprofits after the Inauguration. So each idea has a real chance at becoming policy.

This is currently in 26th place and needs about 800 more votes so please help out

Why is there no END BREED SPECIFIC LAWS Petition? Never mind other countries and their animal welfare issues... WE ARE AT WAR RIGHT HERE IN THE U.S.A.

Sorry I've not been on much, I've been busy with getting the tortoises packed up in the fridge for hibernation & our tortoise campaign. I've updated the petitions just now - hope you manage to take a look - every signature counts.

Hey darren, its been a while and I tried to get onto some of the petitions you listed and they all seem to be disabled. Let me know what else I can do ...I know one signature doesn't do much but maybe it will if everyone signs....let me know what else I can do it is so heartbreaking how many animals and reptiles are in trouble because man can't stop being so greedy and instead of preserving they want the almighty dollar but that is what will be the demise if something isn't done and I am honored to be part of this group and hope we can make a difference for our kids and kids kids that they can enjoy the animals
