Shadow, the stray cat I was taking care of got sick and had to be put down. It started a couple months ago with a neck wound that turned into an abcess. I couldn't afford to pay for his treatment so I enlisted the Lakeshore Humane Society, who paid for his vet visit. The vet told me that, because the abcess was on the top of his neck, they had to cut it open. He also agreed tou nueter shadow.

I left him in the vets care. And hor or so later, the vet called me. After running some tests, Shadow tested positive for feline AIDS. After questioning the vet and finding out that he would be nearly impossible to adopt out because of his illness, and I couldn't keep him inside,I agreed to have him put down.

You tried everything you could. You are a good person to do all of this for a stray. So sorry for your loss.
