Welcome to the Pet Memorial Group

For everyone who is grieving the loss of a beloved furry family member, please know that we are here for you. It helps to express yourself in whichever way works best for you, in order to move out of the intensity of the pain. It takes a lot of time, believe me, I know firsthand. It's been only two months since I lost the furry love of my life, Blackie. I think of him every day.

Please have comfort in knowing that your pet is with you in your heart and memories forever. Somehow this thought gives me peace deep down, and I hope it does for you too. If you would like to light a virtual candle in your pet's name, follow this link. It's very comforting. Just cut and paste into your browser address bar if the link isn't clickable:

Here's some positive music to comfort and soothe during the loss of a dear pet. I tried to give a variety of genres for everyone to enjoy (country, popular, traditional, etc). Listen if you like, and only if it helps you.

Just a Dog "From time to time, people tell me, lighten up 'it's just a dog', or ‘that's a lot of money to spend on just a dog’. They don't understand. Some of my proudest moments were with 'just a dog'. For many hours, my only company was 'just a dog'. Some of my saddest moments were with 'just a dog', who gave me comfort. 'Just a dog' brings into my life the very essence of friendship, trust, and joy. 'Just a dog' brings out the compassion and patience that make me a better person. I rise early, take long walks and look longingly to the future. 'Just a dog' brings out what's good in me. I hope someday you will understand that it's not 'just a dog', but the very thing that keeps me from being 'just a human’.” ~Unknown

Well, here I am again. Hurting so bad I can't hardly stand it. I am completely dreading Christmas. I honestly can NOT believe my little girl is gone forever. Lacey gave me so much love that I do not know what to do with this terrible void in my life. Why oh why did God have to take her when I was already dealing with severe depression. Her loss has put me over the edge. The thought of seeing her again in Heaven does not give me comfort right now. I want to hold her so bad and tell her I love her. I got 2 hours of sleep last night and I am exhausted.

it is very hard to lose any of our beloved pets...within the last year...I lost three cats...Bernie, Dusty and Stripey...(dusty and stripey are the two males in my pics before queenie she is the last pic). Bernie was an adventurous cat..and somehow got outside last year. Needless to say we looked all over but didn't see him. We were heartbroken and thought the worst...so we just gave up looking. We eventually found out what happened, Bernie ended up wandering into a window in the apartment building we are in...that was broken out and never boarded up. He stayed down there...and the landlord and one of his so called workers boarded him in there...so, he starved to death. I found out because our downstairs neighbor who has the basement right under them said there was a funny odor coming from there. One of her sons went down and found his lifeless body...and brought him up to me. I cried so very much, for i felt it was my fault he had gotten out...but he was a quick cat...and loved to run...now, he is running in heaven, with Dusty and Stripey...this Christmas will not be the same...I still have Queenie and little BooBoo...and they are the comfort I have...I love them both dearly. Now, the same landlord is trying to evict me for non payment of rent....but he will lose, as i can prove that he is a slum lord who has no legal right to collect any rent...the judge will see this...and drop his claims. So, if I win my case this Tuesday, this will be God's way of having that slumlord pay for the death of my Bernie...God Rest All of their Souls.
