Nelly (pics attached) is a 3 year old Pit Bull, who's in desperate need of a home. If a foster or furever home cannot be found by Saturday afternoon MARCH 7th, the current owner will dump her or have her put to sleep. I would take this girl in a heartbeat, but those of you close to me know I just can't at this time due to life changes and my current pack of 6 kids including 2 highly dog selective females. I can NOT sit by and watch this poor girl be PTS b/c of her owner's inability to provide her with a stable household, structure and an appropriate enviorment.
She's a very sweet natured, but extremely timid female. She is spayed and up-to-date on all of her shots, but is not chipped. She knows her basic commands, shows no food aggression, is house trained and gets along well with other dogs (currently living with 2 other dogs).
Nelly snapped at his son the other day after he pulled Nelly's tail (these kids are ROWDY/no discipline to speak of and running amuck!). Per the owner whether it was her fault or the kid's, he doesn't care and wants her gone by the end of the week. He tried to get me to take her last night as I went over the house to meet her and learn more about why he's looking to rehome her and get a feel for her overall temperment, et al.
The owner was extremely cold and emotionless when it came to speaking about her, and does not care in any way, shape or form. In addition to Nelly, he also has two additional Pits - 1 male and 1 female - both of which are approximately 1 1/2 years old. He's looking to sell the other female Pit Bull, and if he cannot, he will have her put to sleep as well. She has time though in that he's not looking to get rid of her asap and really wants to try to sell her (I cringe to think of this and am working on getting a bulletin up for her too). The owner wants to keep the male b/c he's paid for and he wants to breed him (b/c the world needs more Pit Bulls, right?).
While I was there I witnessed him yell at the dogs for merely being in the way and with no emotion at all said to me "well, I really don't care what happens to her." The owner's mere presence sends the dogs into cowering mode with their tail between their legs. I also saw his 8ish (?? exact age unknown) yr old son try to do a "wrestling move" on one of the dogs (the blue nose male) and the dogs are so scared and timid when he and the kids walk into the room, it's beyond words.

Beautiful dog- ugly owner. I'm in CT- I'll see if I can find anyone. (Somehow, I'm not surprised this is happening in Naugatuck- bunch of freakin' hillbillies and trailer trash over there.)

New Milford is a trailer trash town I was saying to Strega. LOL! I left a link on the other discussion board you posted on. I have a group that is for Pit Bull only to adopt/foster. Or Pit Bull that gets attention.

Well, I'm not really that familiar with New Milford, but I am a couple towns over from Naugatuck. But I guess there are losers everywhere, just a higher concentration in some areas that Bullies2Love and I are all too familiar with. Why don't they propose ordinances banning Jackasses from certain towns instead of BSL? That would solve so many problems. (Then, as Bullies and I know, some towns around here would become 'ghost towns' with freakin' tumbleweeds blowing down the street. ;)
