Check out youtube -they have some good videos. Also look up the history of the breed and show them the little rascals. In all honesty- to not love them is to not know them. I was skeptical (silly human) but open-minded and agreed to look at some pitties and fell in love with my girl. Now... I constantly fight the stereo-type because I love her so much. To not love is to not know.

Flag shipping the breed is a great way to fight it. People are amazed at how well behaved and loving my girl is once they get past the fear. I love leading them with information that leads into questions, which my answer leads into more questions. the more they know, the less they have to be afraid of. Dosha is down to sitting between my feet, and letting people pet her, her only reaction now of course is licking them to death, and loving everyone she comes in contact with. For what it takes 6 of us to undo, it only takes 1 to redo... the more we spread the word about these lovable dogs, and change their reputation, the more we'll have responsible owners to flagship the breed. Good luck in your area. It's been a challenge here.

there is all kinds of good information including an almost as complete as there can be history on APBT, I also have some documentation that I can .pdf up and send to you if you wish. The best way is to raise awareness. get some responsible owners together, and hold a gathering in lets say the cities/town main park and discuss the good points of the breed. passer by's that hear good things sometimes spark interest. you might if you can fund it, even make it a bbq that's not limited to pit owners, so you can inform anyone. I have a good story for you. I'll email it to you. In fact I have a couple. :D I run a rescue and my pit is a rescue herself. Please feel free to contact me anytime. you can write me here, or you can contact me from my website. www.loveapit.org. you can also write me at loveapit@ymail.com. There is also a email account on the domain under contact us. You can also contact me on Yahoo messenger under the user name midland_04. Please, feel free to get ahold of me, as I have tons of information and resources to offer. You also might visit BadRap.org and ForPitssake.org, as both deal in Pits being the Hero... For Pits Sake is an organization that just about exclusively uses pits for search and rescue and has a pretty good success rate. There is lots of good information out there, you just have to sort through it, and find information that steers away from the fighting world other than their past. you can also check out pitbulllovers.com they steer all their info away from the fighting world as does my site. Once again please don't hesitate to contact me. I can get you sheets and sheets of information, rather in .pdf or .txt files.

Sorry I couldn't respond sooner, the family was being demanding. :) It's not that I hate slaughter itself, it's that I do not like the way the animals are treated. As I said, if the animals were being taken care of and were painlessly put down befo…
