the biggest thing that we've found with our dog is that socialization is key. our pit is very sweet and great with people but does challenge other dogs when playing. try and get your dog to a supervised play class through a dog behavior group. that way you can learn when to step in and correct behavior, she/he can learn how to play with other dogs and not to be afraid and want to attack, and the person in charge of the class can help you to socialize your dog. it can be done with some hard work and positive reinforcement and you'll be a much happier pit owner as a result

My pit is a sweetheart, except when it comes to other animals, so we have to keep her separate in our house. All of our other pets are together but in another area.

you almost have to have trial and error I found out at the shelter when we were trying to find him a freind is he doesn't like any males not fixed and domain dogs. so there may be dogs he or she doesn't like or it may just be you haven't found one.

my pit has that problem with any dog bigger than him for the first two days because he has to be the boss but we just yell at him thne give it a day or two and then hell start sleeping with them
but he doesn't like males either

well hello everyone how do you handle a pit that don't like other dogs i think my cousin may have fought her but i will never know i just got her from my aunt she is sweet with everyone and kids but just not with dogs any dogs it sucks i don't want her to be put to sleep so i'm trying to keep her alive please help
