:( I'm so sorry :( I know how much pain you must be going through :( You are allowed to have a copy of his records. Simply request them along with any surgery/treatment notes. If they ask why, explain that it is your legal right to have a copy of these (it is). Try not to get angry with them. I know that will be hard. Keep in mind, many dogs who become stricken with Heartworms, despite all good intentions and optimum treatment, often still die from it. However, it is good to review the paperwork. Have another vet review just to be sure everything was handled properly. When you ask for your copy of your files, the secretary will most likely have to wait for the vet to sign off on them...depends on your state I believe. Take it from me, I used to work as a tech...I always felt like I lost a part of me when a patient died. I'm truly sorry for your loss :(
I worked for a vet clinic for a while. Unfortunatly the treatment uses arsenic based drugs and some dogs are so weakened by the heartworms that they can die from the treatment too. Keep bugging them for the files. You are entitled to copies.
so sorry for your loss. words just can't describe our best friends.
rest in peace. There is nothing like the unconditional love and devotion of ones pet. I'm so sorry for your loss. Greive her/his loss, but remember them always. Peace be with you.
There is a great website called Immortalpets.com, that can help you through this difficult time.
