All of these factors depend on how long you have had your Bearded Dragon. When you first get a bearded dragon (or any lizard) it usaly takes them a little longer than a week to eat anything substansitcal. Also if you are feeding you lizard crickets that are to big or to small for it, he will not be able to eat much. If you are using crickets that are to big for him, than he cant catch them. But as you said this bearded dragon is around 2 years of age, so he should be fine with the large to extra-large crickets. But make sure that you dont give him crickets that are to small for him or else he/she will not be able to see them. The problam with the pooping is that bearded dragons do not go to the bathroom that often, and when they do go its large and smelly :) If you are really conserned about your lizard than you should put him/her in some warm water (the way you can tell if its too hot is put the tip of the lizards tail in the water, and if he/she flickes it out that means that it is to hot) and that usaly helps with the pooping prosses. I know this from personal experines because my bearded dragon only goes to the bathroom if it is in water. I guess he has a pooing prob...lol.... PS: dont put a lot of water in. You dont want him/her to be "swimming" around, you want to put just anuf water in so it almost coveres his/her back when he/she is standing ... make sure that he/she can stand in the water. Please e-mail me back if you have anymore questions... (:

sometime if they are not get enough of there greens then they dont poop very much at all so the best thing to try to do is offer him green daily ,even if he dont take it try or even fruit , i had the same problem with my bd and it took me a while but i got them on romaine , parsley, collards, fruit, green peas ,and eventually they started to poop on there own with out have to put them in the tub , but until you get him to poop just put he in the tub with warm water and massage his stomach softly

I'm glad that the beardie is going now. But is it regular? If not, continue to soak, remember thats how most beardies "go." As for a trick to eat veggies, some people mix them with treats. But overall how is the little one doing? Yes, never forget to give the beardie calcium on the crickets. The size of the crickets is also an important factor. There used to be a chart on a website where it said what size crickets given to what age reptile, etc. Agh, I'll try to look for it.
